This chick brooder plate has been absolutely fantastic! It was incredibly easy to set up and adjust to the right height as the chicks grow. I love that it provides gentle, consistent warmth that mimics a mother hen instead of blasting heat like a lamp. It keeps the chicks comfortable while also feeling much safer and more energy-efficient. My chicks took to it right away and love sleeping underneath it. The design is sturdy, well made, and very easy to clean. It also keeps the brooder area from getting too hot, which I really appreciate. If you’re raising chicks, this is definitely a must-have. It’s a good product, I may have had my expectations a bit too high. It keeps our small, four hen coop, chilly opposed to cold. Our weather is 20s at night so although it doesn’t get warm at least it isn’t freezing.

The media could not be loaded. I originally bought this heater to use as a winter chicken coop heater, and it has been rock solid all season. We had several brutal cold snaps this winter, and it performed consistently, keeping my flock warm and safe in the coop the entire time, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. In early January, I added a few new chicks. Even though it was still quite cold outside, based on how well this heater had already performed, I decided to purchase the same one again—this time to use it as a brooder heat plate. Setup was quick and easy, and within a few minutes I had the height and temperature adjusted just right. The chicks naturally gather underneath it to rest and sleep, and they look very comfortable and relaxed. Since using this brooder heater, they’ve been growing well, with clean, shiny feathers and lots of energy. Overall, this heater has exceeded my expectations. I really appreciate how versatile and reliable it is. Highly recommended.

This does not heat up enough to keep week old chicks warm. I let it heat up a while, still didn’t get hot enough. Even inside my chicks are under this, freezing because it is. It hot enough for them. Huge disappointment.

This heater worked well and I did like it. However the Item worked for two weeks and then quit. I contacted support to troubleshoot which did not fix the problem. The company contacted me about the failure to try and remedy the situation which was greatly appreciated. Perhaps mine was just a random failure and I hope that’s all it was. Overall I did like the product but mine did fail after two weeks of indoor use.
