For the price and install it’s great. But in my case I had to cut the holding screw tab, need it more deeper in the refugium. Only reason for the 4 stars. Other then that it’s great.!

I installed this in February. It is now June. the overflow switch has kicked in twice so I am glad that function worked. The overflow switch is about one inch higher than the high water level. This means I have to keep my tank water level lower than where I would like it to be to assure the overflow switch will work. I use a 5 gallon bucket as the reserve tank so the worst case scenario would be about 2 gallons on the floor. It would be much better if the switches were side by side as redundant switches or even offset a touch. They are generous with the amount of hose they give you. I had to remove about two feet of it because the pump could not overcome the vertical distance in my case. With the shorter hose the pump is fine for the task. Overall, for the cost, I think this is adequate for the job. ... show more

Best thing about this is the cost, hands down. I’ve been using to top off my berghia Nudibrach breeding setup. Keep the salinity exact-no swings, which is important when raising anything. Stability. It’s very secure.Ive read every review and disagree with all of them.If you have problems,use ur common sense guys.Most ATO KITS SONT EVEN COME WITH FLOATS.IF THE FLOATS BOTHER YOU, but an”eye” for a few more bucks or buy a second float. They’re meant to be replaceable. I’m buying a second one. I only wish they could deliver faster, but until then I can manually top off no biggie. It’s better than buying the most popular and paying more than 3-4 time for the same functionality. If you have a Neptune Apex, all u need is a motor and float with the 6input switch box u can make yourself. Don’t be lazy. Learn about your fish. Not necessary to spend a fortune. Spoiled rich kid brats are common in the Reefing hobby and can’t figure out how to simplify because they can’t think for themselves. 🤣😂 ... show more

Bought a few of these. Simple to use at a good price (one of those items that most brands charge way too much for). After a month one of mine started to fail. I reached out to Digiten and received a near immediate response. A few email Q&As and they sent me some replacement parts. Turns out the splitter had failed. All good now. The customer service was 5-star. I would have given the product a 5-star except for the initial issue. The others I have are working fine. ... show more

    • It’s OK as is but not hard to make it good
I have it three stars because it seems to kick in and off a LOT! I have kept a vigilant eye on it as I’m not sure I trust it yet. Had to do things That were not in instructions like add a hole to line above the water level in my holding tank because it created its own syphon and dumped a LOT of extra fresh water into my salt tank. Put the syphon break and now when the pump shuts off the water stops and yes, the end of my line is NOT in the main water. This unit should come with an anti-syphon piece like ever other ATO out there. Also added a One way check valve on the end so it could not suck salt water into fresh water tank when pumps are off or in feed mode. It’s An OK unit. ... show more

Not a bad little ATO for the price. Simple to install (instructions are crap), does the job. Installed on a Waterbox aio with no issues. Would love to have an extra float on hand. One month in and no real issues except the enclosed siphon setup is rather garbage imho. Update: 12/20 Still working like a champ. Keep other magnetic parts away from it (Powerhead, probe holder, etc...) or you will have issues. ... show more
