This watering can provides a very gentle way to water newly planted seeds or recently sprouted seedlings. It does leak a little when not in use. I think the leak is from the bottom of the spout connection to the can, which is not a very robust design. The leakage rate. is small, maybe a tablespoon every few hours. I pu the can in a plastic dish to catch the drippings. Still, it's an effective tool I needed so I'm OK with the purchase.

While the plastic is thick, there is nothing to stop the water leaking out the bottom spout. They mention adding a 'leakproof seal' in the instructions but mine did not come with one to insert. It looked like it was already in there, but it's a hard plastic part and it obviously isn't working as the watering can leaks everywhere. I set it down to move a plant out of the way while watering and it pooled water around the base. It flooded the small shelf it had been set on for A FEW MINUTES and soaked the bottom of a few books and ruined some orchid care guides :( Super disappointing; as the capacity is great and the length of the metal spout is perfect for getting to pots at the back of the shelf, BUT it leaks everywhere and cannot be put down when watering. I tried again to work with it this morning; adjusting the metal tube in anyway I could to try and complete a seal, and when I tipped the can to water my first plant, the metal tube FELL OUT COMPLETELY and water went everywhere. What a shame.

This watering can fits my needs in so many ways! First, It is smatt, so even if I were to fill it, it wouldn't be too heavy. I have become a plant parent over the past year. I have learned that the two most important things to help my plant kids to thrive are light and water, pretty much in that order. I live in an apartment which was built with windows and water on opposite sides. So I needed to bring the water to the windows! This little watering can has been the answer to all my problems! It is very easy to fill, even from a bathroom faucet. The shape is just right, it is tall, so water doesn't spill out while it is being carried because there is a lip all around the top. The spigot comes up from the side at the bottom so it pours as long as there is water in it, you tilt it ever so slightly, and the water can begin ti flow. It has a floew attachment, so that you can imitate rain while you water, as well as a little leaf that you can put into the soil, to get the water down to the roots without drowning the plant. I have recommended it, and would give it as a gift to plant enthusiasts.

I’m giving this watering can 3 stars because it gets the job done, but it’s definitely not great. The biggest issue is the top portion that’s supposed to help keep water from spilling when you tip it but unfortunately, it leaks pretty badly. I almost always end up spilling some water when I use it, which gets a little frustrating, especially indoors. However the pouring spout is actually really nice. The water flows out smoothly, at a steady and controlled pace, which makes it great for watering smaller indoor plants without overdoing it. The green color is also super cute and fits in well with my plant room, so aesthetically it’s a win! But overall, it’s just a cheap plastic watering can and nothing special in terms of quality. It works, but I don’t think I would purchase this again.
