Description

Garage door opener Skyline ATR-1611 has a powerful ½ HPF motor which provides extremely quiet operation. This garage door opener includes a built-in 12W LED for long-lasting illumination, push button, one button remote control with rolling code technology, chain drive system and 7Ft sectional rail. This garage door opener also features a soft-start and soft-stop function to reduce wear and tear on the motor and mechanical parts. Backup battery [sold separately] with a built-in LED light keeps garage door opener functional in the event of a power outage. You can also use your in-car garage door remote to control this garage door opener. For added security, the AT-1611 includes rolling code technology that generates a unique code for every remote activation. This encrypted code is different from the previous one which prevents your neighbor accidently opening your garage door when using their Skyline remote.     • Very Pleased with this Garage Door Opener!
The SkyLink garage door opener was fairly easy to install. I used the videos that were suggested, to do the installation. The videos weren't exactly matching the model that I bought but still worked well. I had to install some wood blocks to mount the safety photo-eyes on, as the tracks of my garage door were too large to clip the Photo-eye brackets on as shown in the instructions. I also found it a bit unclear on connecting the control wiring as the video gave the wrong colors of the wires and wasn't clear enough that the plastic cover should be in place before the connection and setup is done. I was very impressed on how smoothly and quietly the opener, with the DC motor, worked. The opener handled my 16 foot wide door with no problems even though it is physically much smaller than my old opener that was removed from service. This opener was the most economical, for the size I needed, that I could find on Amazon; and also it didn't have the WIFI connection and control that I did NOT want or need. The remotes are easy to set up and have very good operating range. This opener works GREAT and will save you several dollars on the purchase price. ... show more

This is a surprisingly small garage door opener that has worked well on a single door for me third bay. Strengths include a quiet belt drive and reliable operation after installation last month. The LED light that activates when the garage opener activates puts out a lot of light. Downsides include the very rudimentary instruction manual that includes a link to a video. Unfortunately, the instructions are quite poor and even the video is of a unit that doesn't resemble the one I purchased! Support for putting this together was almost non-existent. Having said that, it's not impossible to put together if you have some mechanical background and skills. I used the old garage door opener and ancillary supports as a pattern to help me assemble the Skylink. It was also possible to reuse some of the wiring and switches to complete the installation. First garage door opener I ever installed, and I'd recommend having a friend help you hang it and finish the installation. Saved me hundreds in purchase and installation costs, so as long as you have time to DIY, it's a great project! ... show more

UPDATE OCTOBER 10, 2023 It is almost a year now, since we bought this opener. While we were indeed impressed with its silent operation and small size, we now have to conclude that this is about all that is good about it. In the eleven months of operation, my husband has had to re-initialize it SIX times: it works for about a week, then it quits and won't respond to the opener when pressed from the outside. The door button by the pedestrian exit door works fine. It is the remote connection that is completely unreliable. So on average, every 7 weeks, we had to re-initialize it, which took each time over two hours, just to find out what works. He called and talked to this company's help line service twice, and even with them walking him through the process, it is no better. This opener was installed in one of my tenant's garage spaces, and she can't use her spot, for which she pays rent, but half the time. Today, my husband lost his patience, when it again malfunctioned. He took it down, went to a local hardware store and bought a popular brand of garage door opener. He just could not stand it anymore to waste an afternoon with this thing. In hindsight (20/20,lol) I would not recommend to anybody to go for this machine. Save the hassle and buy a name brand item, even if it costs 50 bucks more! My initial review: The machine itself is the smallest lifter I have ever seen: it is at least 30% smaller than the conventional ones we are in the habit of using and seeing around. It also does a great job at lifting and closing a metal garage door. The only little gripe we are having with this device is it’s programming: when you want to program this machine, you need to note that it is in programming mode when the green programming light is off! This is really counterintuitive, I expected it to rather light up when ready for programming. So we did it wrong on the first round, and when we noticed that it did not perform as expected, we thought it over and tried the other way around and, Eureka, it did work then. It is a really good value for the money, and if it keeps up the good work, I would buy another one of these, if any of my present garage door openers happens to fail. GO FOR IT - YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!! Like you, I had never heard of this brand and was a little apprehensive at first. So glad that I pulled the trigger. I bought 2 of these openers (SKYLINK Atoms ATR-1611C 1/2HPF) 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. Really easy to install and really happy with how quiet they are. I have two (single) wooden garage doors that are really heavy but these openers handle the load with ease. I also added a wireless keypad, which also works flawlessly and was easy to install/program. UPDATE 1/9/2024: Nearly 2.5 years after the original purchase and they’re still working like champs. These openers are awesome. Just pull the trigger!! ... show more
