Description

Garage door opener Skyline ATR-1611 has a powerful ½ HPF motor which provides extremely quiet operation. This garage door opener includes a built-in 12W LED for long-lasting illumination, push button, one button remote control with rolling code technology, chain drive system and 7Ft sectional rail. This garage door opener also features a soft-start and soft-stop function to reduce wear and tear on the motor and mechanical parts. Backup battery [sold separately] with a built-in LED light keeps garage door opener functional in the event of a power outage. You can also use your in-car garage door remote to control this garage door opener. For added security, the AT-1611 includes rolling code technology that generates a unique code for every remote activation. This encrypted code is different from the previous one which prevents your neighbor accidently opening your garage door when using their Skyline remote.     • Very Pleased with this Garage Door Opener!
The SkyLink garage door opener was fairly easy to install. I used the videos that were suggested, to do the installation. The videos weren't exactly matching the model that I bought but still worked well. I had to install some wood blocks to mount the safety photo-eyes on, as the tracks of my garage door were too large to clip the Photo-eye brackets on as shown in the instructions. I also found it a bit unclear on connecting the control wiring as the video gave the wrong colors of the wires and wasn't clear enough that the plastic cover should be in place before the connection and setup is done. I was very impressed on how smoothly and quietly the opener, with the DC motor, worked. The opener handled my 16 foot wide door with no problems even though it is physically much smaller than my old opener that was removed from service. This opener was the most economical, for the size I needed, that I could find on Amazon; and also it didn't have the WIFI connection and control that I did NOT want or need. The remotes are easy to set up and have very good operating range. This opener works GREAT and will save you several dollars on the purchase price. ... show more

Our garage door is old and heavy, but this tiny DC-motor opener opens it very easily while keeping a constant speed. Only when it closes the door, it seems to slow down before the door hits the ground. The assembly was easy, requiring very few screws. In fact, the help video was outdated as the model I received had even less assembly steps and needed less screws. The only step that I struggled with was the attachment of the steel-wire to the bike-chain. I had to open up the tention part, which will later pull the two edges together, to the very end of its travel and use every little extender that came with the product. But the best thing is how easy it is to train the opener to the right force up and down, as well as the two travel end points. It is basically completely automatic. With the old (2011) opener that i have on another garage door, it took me hours to tinker with the four force and stop limits turn-knobs after adding a thicker rubber piece at the bottom of the door, leading to a new close position. Finally, it is quiet, and has a very bright LED light in it. By far the best garage opener that I ever saw on the market, and at a relatively very low price! ... show more

    • Some issues. Overall works well.

I've had this product for over a year now and overall it has served me well, and still works fine. The good. 1. Quiet 2. Door movement doesn't start with a jerk 3. Not too difficult to install. The bad. 1. The controller for the external wall push button switch is sensitive to switch bounce. Don't know about their supplied switch as I used the one already installed in the wall. A single push often registers as two pushes, causing the opener not to respond. Trivial bug that could easily be fixed with a software or hardware debounce circuit in the controller. Very annoying! 2. Wireless remote is proprietary. This issue can be circumvented by buying aftermarket external wireless receivers, such as MegaCode, that connect to the wall push button connections, then you can use your stock of legacy wireless remotes. 3. Mechanical interference issue. The multi-section chain bar is not rigid enough. It tended to bow outward slightly when chain was tensioned. When opening the door this caused the traveler to snag against the front of the chain where it connects to the cable, as they passed each other, causing the door to reverse. This issue was addressed by adjusting the chain tension, which resolved the issue 99.9% of the time. GO FOR IT - YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!! Like you, I had never heard of this brand and was a little apprehensive at first. So glad that I pulled the trigger. I bought 2 of these openers (SKYLINK Atoms ATR-1611C 1/2HPF) 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. Really easy to install and really happy with how quiet they are. I have two (single) wooden garage doors that are really heavy but these openers handle the load with ease. I also added a wireless keypad, which also works flawlessly and was easy to install/program. UPDATE 1/9/2024: Nearly 2.5 years after the original purchase and they’re still working like champs. These openers are awesome. Just pull the trigger!! ... show more

The opener unit is small and quiet, so far (2 days) it works well. The tacky little remote failed right away, the button jammed under the case, which left it sending and screwed up the door. Taking the remote apart fixed the problem but there is no way we will use it again.
