This worked with both our community gate and our MyQ garage door. This was the only one I found that would work with both, and that you didn't need to access the gate panel to program it. We have a community gate so no access to the gate panel. With this, you just need the way to set the dip switches (we got ours from HOA). We did have to email customer service bc our brand of gate was not listed. They emailed back with instructions to try and it worked. Basically it seems that even if your dip switch door/gate brand is not listed, just try the one that matches your amount of dip switches. ... show more

These work well with good range but the battery cover is on the same side as the opener buttons. It is easy to knock off the cover when pressing the buttons . I bought two to put in each of my cars. We have already lost the battery cover on one. Poor design. I would not buy again.

The unit works very well. It works with older garage and gate openers via DIP switches as well all modern openers. Programming is fairly straightforward once you understand the unit. All the information is in the instructions, and yes, I did read them. If you don't read instructions, don't buy this remote. I was able to program 2 garage door openers and one old-style gate opener on the one remote. I bought two more and programmed them in minutes. The unit is powerful, again, when you understand the steps to program it. For the money, this is one of the best remotes I have tried. I also bought their keypad remote and am happy with it. I was a little worried that this wouldn't work for my set up. I have two different brands of door openers (One is Genie and the other Wayne Dalton) and I was apprehensive that I would be able to make both of them work on one remote. After a couple of tries, I was successful, instructions were clear for the Genie but not the Wayne Dalton. I followed the instructions for the Genie for the Wayne Dalton opener, only change is the number of clicks to program and it worked beautifully on both remotes.
