My old original remote model is 740CB/ 66LM. FCC ID: HBW1D4009. K741. Chamberlain Lift-master Garage door opener. It is the green learn type button in back of door opener motor housing. I got up on my ladder and tried programming, following your instructions EXACTLY over and over again for two hours. Your remote does NOT work with my opener! My opener is the earliest Chamberlain model on your instruction list - it is the green learn button. Check your program on your remote for this model: it does NOT work! Update: Customer service contacted me very quickly. It turns out the instruction sheet included with my remote is missing 1 crucial step. They e-mailed a new set of instructions with the needed additional step, and that corrected the programming problem. It now works great with my garage door opener. Their customer service is excellent, but they could have saved me much trouble if the included instructions had been correct in the first place, so I take off one star. ... show more

Replaced an old exterior keypad that had stopped working with this one. I rate it as a 5 overall for use and performance now that it is working. I rated INSTALL as 3 since, as usual with many Chinese made products, the instructions were a not as clear or organized as they should b, though in fairness, everything was there once i found it. (I am a retired computer guy, who, for a while, wrote product setup and system operation manuals, so I think I can say that with some authority !!) I have a Craftsman Purple LEARN button garage opener. What I MISSED the first two times I tried it was that when you select a "compatibility code" (in my case 03) you have to push BOTH a zero and a three in sequence. I simply missed the zero first two times. Well .... shame on me for not carefully reading !!! But also shame on THEM, since the details were buried in a second small font parenthetical sentence. So what would it take to simply rewrite the second step of the INSTALL in a clear sequence, so a quick read does not miss the need to enter the zero first - NOT buried in a parenthetical. If a "pro" like me missed it, how many laymen did likewise. My rule for simple setups was always ONE TWO THREE BUNNY RABBIT SPELLING BOOK, so there could be no ambiguity or easy misses. Always assume that the average user is going to be dummy (like i was first two times) when in a hurry. ... show more

This garage door opener is not compatible with an automobile's integrated garage door opener system. After installing the device to open my garage door, I tried to tie it into my car's integrated garage door opener system (Lincoln) but it would not open the door. I discovered it can serve as either a stand alone stationary opener or as an opener activated by a remote signal from my car, but can not be used both ways.
