Fast shipping and it worked perfectly! I was nervous at first because there was no branding on the opener and I don't always trust 'universal' products. I was also replacing a 1990 Liftmaster opener that was technically out of the range of years where this replacement opener would be guaranteed to work. However, it worked perfectly!! Instructions were easy to understand and perfect except for one small detail. When pairing the keypad to the motor, after entering the new pin, the manual says to press and RELEASE the enter button. I had to press and HOLD the enter button (for 2-3 seconds). It could have been the older model I was replacing, not sure. But it works great and Im satisfied with my purchase! Thanks. ... show more

Extremely easy to set up new codes. Easy to install with only one screw. Tip for you all. Program the opener before installing on garage. You only have to go up the ladder one time and down. So Easy.

Positives: functioned perfectly first time, easily synced with my garage door opener (same brand). Opportunities: A little pricey when compared to other keypad openers that do the same thing. The screw holes to attach it to a wall are half hidden by the interior parts making it tricky to line up correctly. But it is doable, just need a slightly better design.     • Ad says it's an 877MAX but it is an 878MAX. Don't worry, works the same!
I ordered this LiftMaster "877MAX" after mistakenly ordering, and then returning, a knock off that did not have the same features but was advertised as an 877MAX. This one is an OEM LiftMaster product. Just be aware that the ad is incorrect. You will receive an 878MAX, not an 877MAX as listed. I was concerned at first that it might not be backwards compatible, but don't worry, there are no issues at all using it. It fit the exact same screw holes as my previous 877. Programing, literally, took all of 1 minute. You press the yellow "learn" button on the main opener, go to the new keypad and type in a four-digit PIN and press Enter until you hear two clicks from the main unit. DONE! Just make sure when shopping for a replacement keypad, you actually get a real LIftMaster since the knockoffs don't have the one button close feature. It will cost about $10 more but well worth it. ... show more
