Easy to set up and works like it should
I wanted a keypad for my garage door but didn't want to be limited to a 4 digit code. This fits the bill as it supports 3 - 8 digit codes. It was easy to program and install.

"PERSONAL" GARAGE DOOR OPENER*
DO NOT CONFUSE LIKE I DID. THIS IS NOT, STRICTLY SPEAKING, A "UNIVERSAL" GARAGE DOOR OPENER. IT WILL ONLY OPEN MY GARAGE DOOR. I TRIED EVERY OTHER DOOR IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD AND IT WILL NOT OPEN ANY OF THEM. IN THAT SENSE IT SHOULD BE LABELED "PERSONAL" GARAGE DOOR OPENER. MINUS A STAR. SO IF YOU WERE HOPING TO BE ABLE TO OPEN YOUR NEIGHBOR'S GARAGE DOOR WHENEVER YOU NEED TO SO YOU CAN BORROW HIS SUPER POWERFUL EDGER WHICH IS WAY BETTER THAN YOURS, FORGET ABOUT IT. TRY ANOTHER UNIVERSAL GARAGE DOOR OPENER THAT ACTUALLY WORKS AS ADVERTISED. OR ELSE FIND ANOTHER WAY TO BREAK INTO YOUR NEIGHBOR'S GARAGE, OR YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO BUY YOUR OWN COOL NEW EDGER, OR WORST CASE SCENARIO YOU CAN GO THE OLD FASHIONED METHOD AND JUST ASK HIM IF YOU CAN BORROW IT. BUT FORGET THAT. HE HAS OTHER COOL THINGS I WANT TO USE AND I WON'T DEGRADE MYSELF TO BE CONSTANTLY IN MY NEIGHBOR'S DEBT, SO I'LL KEEP LOOKING FOR A TRUE UNIVERSAL GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND POST AN UPDATE WHEN I FIND ONE THAT WORKS. BUT I DO LIKE THE WAY THE BUTTONS LIGHT UP, PLUS A STAR 5/5

LiftMaster/Craftsman wants you to buy their brand remote garage door opener.
I purchased two of these because my new garage doors were compatible according to the description given. After weeks and weeks of trying to get them to work I was unsuccessful. I gave them to my engineer son in law who also attempted to link with his and mine. Again nothing worked. I was so frustrated that I put them up for a few weeks. Again I tried. This time I made several calls with the Genie company only to find out that the Genie brand will not link with LiftMaster/Craftsman brand. LiftMaster/Craftsman has programmed their doors to not link with Genie brand. By the time I found out this information, it was too late to return. This is not a poor rating for the Genie product. I’m sure it works great if compatible with your garage door.

Tricky setup but works great
Ended up working great but was a little tricky to setup. The last couple of steps have to be done in quick succession and hitting the open/close button until it connects didn't work at first, also I had to change the location of the keypad to right side of the door for it to work when the door was closed. I wish these things would pair like Bluetooth does. I was replacing a Sommer keypad that stopped working because the batteries corroded and damaged the internal electronics. This has a smarter design putting the batteries on the bottom. Regardless I'd recommend using AAA lithium batteries because they last longer and don't corrode.

Sturdy, easy to install, works well across different models
Sturdy plastic construction, better than the prior Genie keypad they replaced. Setup was very easy. I was able to configure and install two keypads and two cars for three different openers in about 45 minutes. Worked beautifully with a Genie Pro model 3024 (type 6 on the install chart, Intellicode II) and two Overhead Door Phantom (type 1 on the chart, CodeDodger I). They provided Energizer Max AAA batteries, not generics, which was nice. Well done product.

Ok, but could be better
Remote works, it was not hard to program. There are few annoying things with it, though - one of them is the lack of dedicated "Cancel" button so if you accidentally enter wrong digits - you have to wait several seconds for keypad to dim before you can start anew, and it's hard to notice the keypad's backlight in a bright daylight. Whole process would've been much more convenient and faster if there was dedicated "Cancel" button which you could press to immediately start entering correct digits again. Another annoyance is the closing mechanism for the front cover - the plastic latch is inconvenient to press, especially for the people unfamiliar with operating it. Would've been much better if manufacturer just used strong magnets to hold the cover in closed position. And I'd gladly pay more money if those annoyances would be resolved.
