I do not like replacing garage door openers, and over my lifetime have had to do it several times! This was by far the easiest install I've done yet! I used the YouTube video by Chamberlain for the instructions, starting and stopping the video each step of the way. EVERYTHING worked the first time perfectly, including the motion sensor stops! I was pleasantly surprised and very happy in the end. It was even easy to connect my built-in car button to the new opener! The information is correct, and it did take me 4 hours to install, but, I GOT IT DONE easily. Pretty good for a 71 year old! LOL

Be very, very careful NOT to splice the sensors into any old wiring. Use the wiring attached to the sensors and rewire them completely. I had a solid month of the garage door opener not working, this was the issue, and Chamberlain help line folks told me this is 99% of the reason for the calls they receive. Apparently, after a certain year, the amperage of the wiring changed. So don't splice please! I took off one star because of a failure to warn of this. My old Chamberlain was so old, the wiring was not compatible. But - that opener lasted more than 15 years, so Chamberlain is a great product. I was just unaware of this wiring issue until we'd already ruined the wiring. We ended up having to buy new sensors because of this. I also recommend scanning the QR code providing all the instructions. Even if you, or your handyman/woman, etc. has installed a garage door opener previously, it is essential to read all the instructions on the QR code for installation, and then to follow the programming instructions in the manual within the box. This opener is so much more advanced than the one I had, it had some different installation instructions that absolutely needed to be followed. It took me a month to get it working because of the sensor wiring issue. But I'm not unhappy with it. As I said, it has more features than my old Chamberlain, such as turning the lights on the instant I open the door to go into the garage, and the MyQ app, and I expect it to last as long as my last opener!

I would leave zero stars if I could. First off, the installation instructions were half online (!) and half in a paper pamphlet printing in 4-point font. Imagine working on a ladder, in a hot garage, trying to install this thing while balancing a tablet and printed instructions in little bitty font! Boomer rant, perhaps, but you need to know! Some of the instructions were downright WRONG. The box says "4 hours to install"...well, four hours a day for about two weeks, with two fairly competent people working! Finally, after the thing was installed, the safety sensors did not work. Chamberlain offered to send new ones, which means uninstall the (brand new) ones, and install replacements. No way. Simply put, either have a professional install an opener, or buy another brand. Save yourself many hours of work and frustration.

Great replacement for old garage opener which broke after 10 years. Installation was a bit tricky due to Measurements but in the end of day was able to control door opening and closing. App functionality is very helpful for when family is in need to get into garage

Compact, quiet and camera works well. It is slower than the one I replaced and I had to use my old sensors since the ones that come with the unit are very finicky. I spent 45 minutes on a call with chamberlain ly to be told try the old ones and it worked. Wasn’t going to remove the whole install so I went with the old sensors and kept the unit.
