This saw is great for what it is. It has the power to cut what you need to cut and is easy to handle due to its lighter weight. The easy access to chain tensioning and bar/chain removal makes this easy to adjust and work on without any other tools. I would not recommend this saw for bigger trees due to its size. The battery would die very quickly.. but it can absolutely cut most things a regular household user would need to cut. The battery life is where I think it is crucial to purchase a second battery so that you can rotate them out as you're working. I got about an hour of runtime out of my saw, which isn't terrible but I would have liked to continue on a little longer. That is where the quick 15 minute charge is nice, but I would still like to be able to pop another battery in and keep at it. Overall, this is a GREAT saw for the money and I would definitely recommend. ... show more

I had a tree come down in my yard after the first real snowstorm this past winter, so this was definitely a needed purchase. I was honestly impressed with how much power it had. I’ve only ever used gas chainsaws before, so I was a little skeptical at first, but this thing worked like a charm. The size was perfect for the job, and being electric, it wasn’t nearly as loud as what I’m used to. The battery performance was surprisingly good, too. It's not a GREAT chainsaw and has a shortish bar, but it's an good chainsaw, is pretty cheap, does what needs doing, is light weight... basically perfect for a weekend warrior. Firewood for a weekend, or cutting up storm damage branches 100%. Active logging for a winter wood heated home? Get a gas saw. ... show more

It is powerful and lightweight. While the battery doesn't last very long, having two batteries solves this because they charge so quickly, allowing you to work for hours. I also purchased a SKIL pole saw that uses the same battery. By the way, the SKIL chainsaw is an excellent product as well.

I am very pleased with my first chainsaw. It's light, easy to maneuver, and cuts well. I used it to cut down overgrown yew bushes that had turned into trees - branches 3-5" diameter, and trunks 8- 10" diameter. The battery runs at least an hour. That's about how long my battery lasts, too, so it works for me. I knew that chainsaws needed bar oil (hardware or home improvement store). I bought a bigger bottle but later figured out the small bottle would be fine for my yard projects. Note: I didn't realize that chainsaws often release a little bit of the bar oil when you turn it off. Be careful where you set it. Once I got through the warnings to not use it in a swimming pool, or cut the branch you're standing on, the rest of the directions about safe operation were very helpful. I have to say, this chainsaw was very empowering for this 65 year old woman! Here, hold my beer... ;-) ... show more

This is cheaply made, overpriced and a piece of junk! I received this item and charged the battery for 24hrs, was excited to see what it could do. Literally after 5 minutes of use the saw died and would not work again. Had to return it! Save your money and go with a different brand.
