Skar Audio VXF-12 D2 requires a bit of wattage but well worth the price of upgrading your beat. this sub took place of a cheaper dual Skar box system that had 2-12" subs. removed 1 and installed the Skar Audio VXF-12 D2 which if I crank up too much you can hear it beating the shit out of the cheaper sub. the cheaper sub isn't wired whereas it is more of a passive radiator. put 1 in the work truck and 1 in the Range Rover. both have double 12" boxes made by Skar as mentioned above. added 2000 watt amps to both. they really thump. Curiosity getting the better of me as I am considering purchasing another Skar Audio VXF-12 D2 to install in the work truck box and a second 2000 watt amp, wire in series, punch out the vent holes on the box :) Highly recommending! ... show more

I had the dual 12 inch SVR on my boat with with the 1500.1 marine amp by Skar and it sounded good. Really surprised me. But I sold those and got this VXF 12 D2 on same amp in their SPL armor box and it’s a whole new ball game. Lows I didn’t even know were in some songs now make my windshield move over an inch. My drinks in my cup holders are dancing when the lows hit. It sounds awesome on all notes but the lows blew me away. Way louder than the two SVR 12s. The Skar material could be better but it looks great. It’s heavy,magnet huge , and it’s not hard to install. It’s a better value then the W6 JL audio which I took out and I bought for 600 . The sound is around the kicker L7 which I blew and waiting to return it for my other vehicle. If your planning to buy one make sure you get the right amp. My kicker amp and didn’t sound good with it nor did my hifonics . But my performance teqnique did the job. I also have a Audiobank Monoblock 8000 WATTS Amp Class D 1ohm Car pushing another one on another car. Sheesh. Instead of purchasing a expensive amp get one of these . ... show more
