Money well spent for a great quality product. I'm a heavy weight. So what I consider a "love tap", usually breaks things. Been hittin' 100lb heavy bags of sand for years, I thought that this product 1 or 2 combinations and with the sandbags (I use 6) it's still gonna move a few feet. Nope, gave it a flurry of deep hard hits didn't move an inch. If you don't get one of these you're going to miss the re-found fun of hitting hard as you can and not destroying your hands, wrists, knees or elbows in the process. My teenage daughter comes home from high school and hits the machine to release & decompress (Wife does too, but not because of me😉😜🤪😝 lol) but you gotta get one! ... show more

My husband loves this product. He was a martial arts instructor and feels this machine allows him to easily train by himself. He likes the different angles that he can place the arms for various movements. He put more weights on the base support in addition to the weight bags that came with it because he is a big man who can strike hard. ... show more

You have to watch Bas’ infomercial on YouTube to see how it works. It will not replace a heavy bag or focus mitts with your training partner. I have those as well as a floor based heavy bag which I like. I also have a Bob dummy. This will absolutely replace Bob- sorry Bob! I bought the most expensive version with lower pads. I don’t think you need that. It’s fine for adding inside leg kicks but they offer little resistance. What’s really great is you can practice without gloves and get perfect resistance on the head and torso. You can do uppercuts and hooks without hurting your wrists. The head is perfect balance of resistance and absorption. Highly recommend even just the head and torso. But the hands out to the sides certainly allow you to practice multiple opponents and focus mitt drills. And of course if you have the Leon do skills and want to do high kicks those are great. ... show more

This is not a replacement for a heavy bag, but is definitely the best thing I ever trained on for high speed cardio and accuracy practice. It's got a bit of wobble in the center shaft. I flipped the base around and used a set of 2 in conduit clamps to screw it down to the floor

Such a sweet set up for training drills and form. Couldn’t be happier, install and set up was smooth and easy, put weight on legs for sturdiness, we used sandbags and it worked awesome. Obviously like any other set up it needs to be weight down, and the stronger the punches and kicks the more weight... duh... we have 250lbs of sandbags holding ours... This BAS system not made to replace other training aids it’s meant to be another one in your tool kit. It’s ideal for when you want to get a session in and your home alone. ... show more

    • Good Device with Two Design Flaws

I usually work on a Bob for anatomical targeting and a heavy bag for power especially in kicks. This device fills a gap between these two devices by offering combination work especially in block-strike combos. It's also great for understanding timing and distance. That said, it has no real ability to provide proper feedback for a kick. The lower arms offer no real resistance to a kick and there's no low center pad for kicking. Add to that the instructions specifically state that you may knee the torso pad but not kick it. I've solved this problem by strapping a heavy hand-held strike pad to the bottom of the center pole to receive low kicks. The second design flaw is that the four targets being the head piece, torso pad, and two "T" supports for the arms use a friction clamping system to hold the targets at height. Unfortunately, with each use the clamps slide down the pole a few inches and can't be tightened enough to prevent this. The remedy would be for the manufacturer to drill holes along the center pole and provide stop pins to prevent the clamps from sliding. I modified the device in this manner putting four holes in the pole below each clamp and inserting a simple bolt. Probably ended the warranty but had to be done. ... show more
