I didn't have much room in my house for a full length sauna, so I was looking for a portable one with a small footprint that I could quickly setup on my bathroom tile floor. I have been using this for over a year now, and I am pleasantly surprised, as I have not had any issues at all. I fold it back up for the summer, and bring it out during fall and winter. It has a small plastic container when I can put my choice of essential oils. If you're over six feet high, it may feel a little cramped in there with the seat they give but it is still manageable if you push it all the way back. I cover the seat with a large bath towel that drapes over the side to cover the source of the steam - otherwise, it may get too hot on your skin especially at level 9. I drink at least a couple of cups of water with a sprinkle of salt before going in, and have another two cups waiting for me when I am done (you can also bring a bottle to sip on during the treatment), then jump in the shower to cool down. I recommend that you start slow. I used level 8 in the dead of winter for 15 minutes to see what it felt like, then gradually moved to 20 minutes at level 8. I have also tried level 9 for 15 to 20 minutes without any issues. If you start feeling uncomfortable, just unzip the opening, turn off the machine and drink your water (I add a sprinkle of salt to replenish). Since the hot steam dilates your blood vessels and can reduce your blood pressure, you should consult with your doctor if you have any health issues or take medication for your blood pressure or heart.

Been using this sauna for almost a year. Really enjoy the easy setup, how fast is gets up to temp, and of course the effects of sauna use! It's been proven how effective these are for your overall health, and for the price this is hard to beat. Helpful hint: I put a heavy blanket (be safe) over mine, and I get another 8-10 degree bump on my sauna. Highly recommend!

Seems decent so far. Putting a thick towel on top of the chair is a must: during my first use the steam was burning my butt, and adding the towel helped. The steam comes in through a tube, and there’s a white plastic thing that seems meant to buffer you from the direct burning heat from the steam — but I don’t see any way around using a towel to prevent burns, no matter where you position the white thing. I’m a *huge* fan of saunas, but have avoided public saunas since the start of the pandemic due to the risk of covid/respiratory infections when sharing a small space with heavy-breathing strangers. I live in an apartment, and don’t have any access to a private sauna, and so far this seems like a decent compromise: the sustained heat and sweating is relaxing, and my muscles felt better after my first use. I’m sensitive to chemical smells, and this unit definitely has some. I’m hopeful that they’ll dissipate and not be bothersome, but the jury is still out on that. Before my first use I put the tent in my shower and sprayed out the inside, but I’m not sure how much of a difference that made. I also find myself wondering whether the plastic materials are medical grade-enough not to leach harmful things when heated. I’ll see how I feel about it in the coming weeks. Definitely clean out the metal steamer basin with soap and water. Mine was dirty when it arrived — with obvious gray stuff around the inside that dirtied paper towels as I was first cleaning it.

I’ve used this portable tent sauna about seven times now, and overall, it’s compact and comfortable to use. However, there are a few things worth noting for potential buyers. Pros: ✅ The tent is easy to set up and fold down for storage. ✅ It does provide a sauna-like experience, but not at the ideal temperature. ✅ The frame is lightweight but sturdy enough once properly positioned. Cons: ❌ The metal frame had a slight deformation issue at one point—it leaned to the left when open. I managed to get it upright again after working with it, but it’s something to be aware of. ❌ The biggest drawback is the steamer temperature. After 30 minutes of boiling, it won’t go past 109°F, which is far below the advertised 140°F. The heat is there, but most of the sweat comes from moisture rather than actual deep heat penetration. ❌ The zippers require careful handling. They haven’t broken yet, but they feel delicate, so I open and close them gently to avoid any issues. Final Thoughts: I still use it for now, but I’m actively looking for a unit that reaches a higher temperature. If you’re okay with moderate heat and just want a basic steam experience, this might work. However, if you’re looking for a true sauna-level sweat session, you may want to explore other options.

this sweat box works awesome... but not if you're too tall... i'm 6'1 and i'd say with the included chair, that's about as tall as you want to be in this thing... it's mostly about leg room... but i can do about an hour watching a movie on an ipad.
