I am on a well system. The CTO filter shipped without the washers. Support had a new CTO filter quickly sent to me. I have only had it installed a week so far. This replaced a single stage 2.5 x 10 filter. It was rated at 2.5 gpm. This limited my flow rate to the whole house. I was unable to take a shower and do laundry at the same time. Our pump flow rate is rated for 5 gpm. Now there is no flow rate issue with house. Just make sure any replacement filters you buy. Are rated at a flow rate that works for you. ... show more

This filtration system seems to be a good value for the price. I have only had it installed for two weeks so I can't speak to it's longevity, but so far I am happy with its operation. I haven't noticed any pressure drop, and the installation was pretty easy if you are an average DIY person. The water quality is as expected (great). It comes with two filters. ... show more

After opening the box I was impressed with the weight of the unit. The quality looked great and is. I have an issue with the way the filter fit. It is loose in the holder. The 1st one sets perfectly but the other one is loose. Also, it seems that I cannot tighten that housing enough to stop some seeping of the O ring. Neither this is really a deal breaker but wish that hadn’t tainted my review. All in all pretty good right now. I will address the issue when I change the filters for the first time in the future. ... show more

Unbelievable difference in water taste, clarity, and decrease in scale buildup. This unit also comes with nice pressure gauges to monitor filter life. I am very impressed with cost as well - others in this class filter system, are typically over $100 more. No regrets!

The npt connection ports leak even with 15 to 20 wraps of teflon tape. I am sure the filtering system is good enough for what I want, but the ports need to be better designed. I will keep this and try to make a better connection will try pipe dope And I would not recommend this product to anyone until a solid fix is made on the inlet and outlet connection ports. Thankful for this water filter. A little difficult to set up but we figured it out. The water was absolutely disgusting. We will probably buy another one of these.
