I've had it about six months and just went to turn off the timer until next winter and noticed the top half of the shade is warped and the inside lightly singed brown! It’s an itty bitty little thing, but it’s cute and gives off plenty of reading light. It takes a candelabra bulb which I wasn’t expecting, but it’s right there in the description, I clearly don’t read. Fit my needs almost exactly. I wanted a small desk lamp for my computer desk which is a corner of the great room, not much natural light even during the daytime. Especially needed at night to be able to see the keyboard, etc. I work from home part-time. I wouldn't recommend for working in the dark, it's not enough for that. But certainly fits the bill for adding enough light to see your desktop better during the daytime and reducing eye strain. This little lamp is quality built and attractive. A super buy for the money. My only wish would be the one/off switch was on the lamp base instead of an in-line switch on the cord. ... show more

This lamp is great--just what I needed for my small bedside table. I love to read in the early morning and it gives off plenty of light for that. On one customer's review I saw that I could use an LED bulb in it, so I ordered the one recommended: Abrillo E12. The bulb works in the lamp but sticks out a little over the shade. I'll search for one that fits better when my bulbs burn out. I wish I had bought one with a shade in a more decorative color, but my white shade is fine. I'll be ordering this lamp again for other rooms, perhaps. Oh, and btw, the toggle switch on the cord is a cinch to use, even in the pitch dark ... show more

I let it shine and I like it a lot. I'm not sure if the bad reviews are because the top of the bulb hangs out, but if you use this responsibly, that shouldn't be a problem. It shines brightly and looks nicely for a small space. The light is small but illuminates my room well.

I am totally disappointed with this lamp. I realize "you get what you pay for," but this is worth about $2. The quality is horrible. The lamp shade sits on a ledge and is totally loose. So it ends up crooked all the time, even if you just lightly brush past it. It is too small and short, even for a young child's desk and it just looks cheap. I literally threw mine away (recycling some parts) because I cannot even feel right about donating it. ... show more

This is a VERY small lamp (note the term "Mini") but it is well made. Be sure and checkout the measurements before ordering. The LED lightbulb is NOT provided, so you may have trouble finding the right LED size you want.
