This book has some good cleaning advice, unfortunately, I think there is really only enough good advice to fill a 10 page pamphlet. The rest is relentless repetition of the same advice (I think almost every other page advises you to use microfiber cleaning cloths or a flat mop).     • Great tips for saving time and money!
I don't even know how long this book has been sitting on my bookshelf but I decided to pick it up yesterday and I am certainly glad that I did. I read most of it in one day and I feel so encouraged and motivated. I am not a housecleaner and, honestly, I have struggled for many years to maintain any sense of order in my home. I have a whole closet full of various cleaning supplies and I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find some magic solution. Last night I tried Laura's suggestion of using water and a microfiber cloth and I was amazed at the results. I was able to do a quick clean before my daughter had friends over and I actually felt good about the house for a change. I cannot wait to try some of the other things that she has suggested and I am actually strangely excited about cleaning house!! Thanks Laura!! ... show more

I am enjoying this book! It is an easy read. She offers a lot of great tips and techniques. She emphasizes the importance of having the supplies you need at hand. This is where I struggle. I don't have what I need, leave the room to get it, get distracted, and never accomplish much. She also explains why to stock up on microfiber rags for your cleaning and why to have so many on hand. I was not a big fan of microfiber before but I am going to give them a try. She is repetitive but that is fine with me. To me it emphasizes the importance of whatever she is saying. I would definitely recommend this book if you are interested in learning techniques to shorten your cleaning time! ... show more

I have no complaints with this book. It is thorough and well-organized. It is easy to read and has a helpful index in the back with the author's favorite product info. I took notes, made a shopping list, and got some really great overall tips for attacking all aspects of cleaning from an expert in her profession. I am guilty of having WAY too many cleaning products and keep buying more products when I see them thinking "this will be the one" to make my chores around the house easier. I feel inspired to keep only what I need and use each product to its best ability instead of randomly applying this and that to hope the job gets done. Yes, a lot of the info is common sense to some degree but to have the information presented clearly and to have experience behind her words means a lot to me. If nothing else, I have renewed motivation and ambition on being a better house-keeper (for my own home). ... show more

Too many prose...not a quick read. Prefer the Clean Team and the Campbells books. They are to the point and are not afraid to recommend supplies one can pick up off the shelves of the grocery store. So, I bought the Speed Cleaning book//Campbell and the Clean Team.Speed Cleaning
