Description

The Silverback NXT features a powder-coated steel pole and a revolutionary installation design. The NXT uses stability-strength technology to directly install the pole into the ground and secure with concrete inside the pole for increased stability and ultimate strength. The 54" w x 33" H Infinity Edge backboard has edges that wrap around to the back of the backboard as one continuous material for increased rigidity. The Silverback NXT's quick-play design makes assembly as quick and easy as possible. The basketball hoop comes partially assembled with attached hardware and a Pro-Style breakaway rim allowing you to assemble your goal in less time than competitors. The spring- activated rim flexes under pressure, similar to professional-style rims. The breakaway rim also protects the backboard and prevents player injuries. Using an all-steel crank actuator, The basketball hoop is adjusted from the NBA and NCAA regulation rim height of 10 feet to the safety-approved 7. 5 feet. This product is backed by a 5-Year limited . The NXT is not compatible with the Silverback yard guard or Silverback anchor kit. No anchor kit required.

    • Lots of Fun Already With our New Hoop!
Color: NXT 54 Style: Wrap
Review Image by mjwhite
We are loving this already! Though it did take my husband and me five days to do it. The first day was spent digging a hole 24 inches deep and 18 inches wide through limestone. On the 2nd day mixed the concrete in an older wheelbarrow that collapsed! 😂 We were successful and three days later we began putting together the rest of it. Our only complaint is that when we went to put the backboard on the 4 bolts already on the swivel head they did not line up. If we have been smart we would have tried it first on the ground to make sure they would. They were already soldered on it and it looked easy for us to just put it on over those 4 bolts. Nope! The holes on the backboard did not match up. So here are these 60+ grandparents on two ladders trying to lift the backboard over our heads and the swivel head would swivel down and the screws would only go in on one side. So finally I said let's get our 4x4 and stand in the back of it because it is stable and try to jimmy it on. It was easier standing on the 4x4 and we got a mallet to pound and get the bolts through. Probably not recommended but after much jimmying and pounding the holes got bigger and more lined up. After that was on, it was a piece of cake. The instructions are excellent. The pictures are true to size for all the bolts, nuts, etc. We especially like being able to adjust the size of the grandkids. It seems to be very sturdy and we took the time to follow the instructions for the pole in the ground. It is not going anywhere I hope in our very high winds on Lake MI. ... show more

    • Good Product with Extra Bolts!
Color: NXT 54 Style: Wrap
Can't say enough good things about this product. It was delivered timely. My husband assembled by himself (only needed help with attaching backboard to pole). The bolts came in a nice bag to store. Best of all - each bolt had one extra! I have never seen a company to provide one extra anything! My family enjoyed playing basketball during the grandkids visit. A few days later a strong storm came through. I literally went outside in the night to check to see if it was still there. Yep! It had not budged. Great product! I would highly recommend! ... show more

    • Great hoop
Color: NXT 54 Style: Wrap
Great hoop for the price. Instructions are easy to follow. The most important part is installing the pole into the ground with cement. Follow those instructions exactly how it says. After you install the post into the ground. Build the rest of the hoop on the floor and then add to the base pole later. ... show more

    • A little underwhelming for the price
Color: NXT 54 Style: Wrap
The media could not be loaded. I feel as if for the money there are other goals I'd rather have tried. I thought by spending a little more for this goal that it would come with a higher quality. It's a pretty okay goal but not worth the price. I wish I would have read and heeded the other reviews a little more thoroughly. In my video you can see exactly how much it does shake with every shot. My biggest disappointment comes from install and it not being properly aligned. At first I thought maybe it was a mistake I made but then after reading other reviews and seeing other people with the similar issues I'm pretty sure it was the design flaw of the goal. Having to go come in three pieces it's probably where it will hold with both sturdiness and the alignment. My goal is slightly crooked to the concrete by maybe three degrees over distance that does make a visual difference. I have to survive with it but kind of annoying. It's one of those deals that bothers me most because I'm the one who installed it but most guest probably won't notice. Overall I'm happy to have it just think some things could have been better for the price. ... show more

    • Issues Initially but Resolved Quickly by Customer Service

Update: We sent pictures to their customer service on Tuesday and received replacement parts on Friday. Once everything was put together, it is a good goal and the kids are happy. I still feel a little unsure about the lifespan/durability of the pole itself, but everything else is great. The crank to raise/lower the goal is super easy! The customer service led this review to be changed from 1 star to 5. (Originally 1 star) Buyer beware. If we had not paid to have this in concrete, we would figure out a way to send it back. Assembly is awful. Pole does not feel sturdy and the backboard isn't even attached yet. Holes don't line up to attach the backboard. We contacted customer support and have to email pictures and they "might" send replacement parts. Buy something else. This is too big of a purchase (both dollars and size) to have this many issues. ... show more

    • Quality choice

Installation instructions were clear and easy. You will need 2 adults to complete, but the majority can be done alone. Goal is stable, easily adjustable, and appears to be of great quality. I like the extra space we gained with the fixed post instead our previous goal that had the weighted base.
