First things first. I had to wait 24 hours after getting this machine before trying it out so the isobutane refrigerant can settle. Next I had to remove the ice bin to clean it and the ice scoop and little water picture. I couldn’t open the bin. Hard as I tried, the accessories were inside the bin and preventing me from pulling it open. Thank goodness I read all the instructions and wondered why they showed how to remove the top cover. The instructions didn’t say why that information was included but since I knew how, I decided to remove it to see if I could get to the accessories from the top. It worked perfect, reached in and got them out and replaced the top cover, not an easy process because it had to be lined up perfectly. After that I was able to pull out the ice bin and clean things. I filled it with water, replaced the ice bin and turned it on. In about 6 to 8 minute it made the first few ice cubes. The light stayed on while it made ice which I liked so I could watch it. Once the ice was made when I turned it off and pulled the ice bin out there was an accumulation of water droplets on the counter from the ice bin, maybe if I had waited a little longer after cutting it off to pull the bin out that wouldn’t happen. The ice has to be removed from the bin because it will melt. It works very well and I’m happy about that but one thing seems odd to me. The warranty which states, “After the 30 day warranty has expired, a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase that covers product replacement is automatically activated.” Why don’t they give a 1 year warranty from the get go. I don’t know but sure hope it lasts a lot longer than 30 days and many years after that.

This is my second tabletop icemaker. The first one I have makes nugget (or "crushed") ice like what you get out of dispensers in gas stations. I do like that kind of ice but I also like cubed ice. So, I got this one. It doesn't make traditional cubes. Rather, it makes these little "cups". It does so in two sizes. I definitely see why you might prefer one size over the other depending on application. Like my other one, it makes ice VERY fast. Of course, these make ice in limited quantities so if you're wanting to use it for a gathering you will need to stay on top of keeping the reservoir filled. I do have an icemaker in my fridge but it doesn't make ice as fast and has a fairly limited quantity so when I've had gatherings I've had to get bagged ice because my fridge icemaker can't keep up. I am hoping this and my other one will do the job. Some other notes: It does keep the ice cold enough that it doesn't stick but the ice will melt in there. The good thing, and my other one is like this, is the melt falls back into the reservoir too be made into ice again. So, it recycles itself. This one, unlike my other one, is very, very loud. That doesn't bother me but it might others.

I got this to replace the forever breaking ice machine in the main refrigerator as this is cheaper than a callout these days. After waiting for 24 hours to let the system settle in place, I had to take the top of the machine in order to remove the measuring cup from inside. They dont tell you that you need to do that but it is pretty obvious and easy to do. I then washed all the relevant parts , filled with water up to the line marked inside the machine and followed the instructions provided. I did throw out the first few ice outputs to just make sure everything was clean, then set it to work. It does the job it is meant to do very well, it provides ice pretty quickly (I always keep it on the larger choice) and can produce sufficient quantities for me. At this price point it is an excellent purchase. Now the wish list for this would be 1) a drip tray at the front of the machine so when you pull the ice container out to transfer to the freezer that you don't get any drips. 2) That there was a way to keep the ice cool after being made (but that's only on far more expensive machines) and 3) a bigger reservoir but none of these are a deal breaker.

Love this icemaker! It is super convenient and it looks nice too- much better than some other countertop models of a similar price. You do need to keep up with maintenance, using an icemaker cleaner and making sure the water is fresh, but it makes ice pretty quickly and is very useful to have. For parties I make the ice and store it in my freezer until is is needed. You can quickly build up a good supply of ice this way.

This ice machine does not take up much space. It’s quiet and makes the perfect ice cubes. The best part is that it’s self cleaning. It’s great for the office or your kitchen. EDIT: It only worked for a few days and has stopped working completely. I changed my rating to 3 stars.

Makes ice really fast. Was easy to set up and clean out. The blue light makes seeing it easier and also have a small drawer to slide in and out instead of lifting a lid really helps also. I like that it came with a measuring cup which few ever do, and also an ice scoop with a hook so you can hang it up. I did have to leave it upright for 24 hours before using as all ice machines but it froze the water really fast and the first ice batch was thin but the second one was thicker. I also like the fact that the you can select whether you can do small or large ice tube cubes.

This machine can produce a lot of ice in a short amount of time. The ice machine is great for party or family gathering and you do not need to buy big bag of ice since it can produce a bucket of ice in just about 6 minutes which is very impressive. The ice are not too big so they fit in the cups pretty well.
