I appreciate how the package contained all pieces and nothing was damaged. It took me about an hour to build two chairs and the hardest step was step 2. Some parts of the instructions were not clear, but it did not take a while to figure things out. The quality of the material and screws are great and I don't foresee any issues in the future. It is a perfect size for our table, and the chairs are quite comfortable. We got these chairs on sale and is a great price. Ashley furniture is always a nice quality for the value. Chairs are sturdy and feel well made. The pieces are solid wood and cloth is attached well the seat base. Would recommend using an impact driver to assemble. I did the first one by hand and it was tough. But shouldn’t take more than an hour to assemble four of these with a driver. These chairs are Beautiful! They feel sturdy and are good quality with Great customer service. I ordered six and one of them came not quite right, it went together crooked and would wobble even after using the feet levelers. I was able to call Ashley they were very courteous and were able to send me the new parts to fix the chair. ... show more

    • Good sturdy chairs for kitchen island seating

Pros: Heavy chair with sturdy construction. Assembly not too difficult. Two legs on each chair have levelers, but recommend covering them with felt sliders in order to prevent scratching the floor. Appearance matches the product listing. It's a good looking chair. Height is just right for our kitchen island. Con: Cushions are not cushy, but very hard. Not sure if this will improve with use, but right out of the box they are not comfortable. Not worth it to return. Will have to update after a few months of use. Recommendations: Mostly assembles with the included Allen wrench, but a screwdriver is needed for the wood screws to stabilize it, because the holes were not predrilled. Recommend an electric drill with a screwdriver bit. One of the levelers on one of the chair legs was stuck and did not work. Chair was slightly wobbly after assembly, but improved after covering with felt sliders and sitting on it. ... show more

These have been GREAT counter height chairs for us. They match our island and counter tops perfectly, have held up against two young kids, a cat, and two dogs really well. The best part is the price! Very nice chairs! They fit the counter height table perfectly. Easy to put together and very high quality. We sprayed the pads with several coats of Scotch Guard before putting them together for easy cleanups with kids using them.
