When flow comes sufficiently again, pump will re-access normal run. This greatly reduces physical damage possibly caused by friction between parts, and generated heat too, protecting pump. Yet, protection does not completely eliminate the impact if long time dry run, since pump doesn't stop completely in this context

NOTE: Control Box of pump is recommended not to be put under water! Please pay attention. DC60G-24120S-1 model, 24VDC, 120W, 3-phase brushless DC design, soft start. (CANNOT BE SELF-PRIMING; NO DRY WORK) Max. Static lift appr. 12m (~39 ft) @ 24VDC and Max. Horizontal flow rate appr. 3800LPH (~1003GPH) @ 24VDC. High Power, Heavy Duty! (CANNOT BE SELF-PRIMING; NO DRY WORK) Pay Attention: No dry work without water or with little water; otherwise, pump may be hurt. When users get pump, it’s recommended that a pre-test can be done in advance, then install to relevant application: get a bucket of water, locate the pump into water and power the pump with a matching DC power supply, check the work and performance of pump. As to control box of pump, strictly speaking, it’s not recommended to be located in the water; if indeed have to, waterproof tape is recommended to be firmly wrapped in advance. Of course, location out of water is more recommended. Package includes: 1 x DC60G-24120S-1 Micro Brushless DC Water Pump, (No power supply is included: If power supply is AC/DC power adapter, output capacity of adapter should be 24VDC, 6A.) About the rectangle-shaped metal box, it is the controlbox (brain) part of the pump product, and it is NOT power adapter. Please be not confused. Pump works at rated voltage: When there exists insufficient in-flow or no in-flow (or significant bubble inside the in-flow), pump's DRY-RUN protection will be triggered: Pump will access status of stop-run-stop-run-stop-run---cycle. When in-flow comes sufficiently again, pump will then re-access normal run performance after seconds' latency. -- This DRY-RUN protection is aimed to protect our pump product from DRY RUN for long time in some context, which will physically damage the rotor and pump connection part.
