  • Best bang for the buck!!!
Size: 5 Gallon
Pro- Compact but powerful Full size performance in a manageable size. Wet-Dry. Multiple filter options. Con- Kind of loud. No drain for water. This is my second one. When I saw it on sale I jumped on it. The old one is at least 10 years old and has held up well. We use it to detail our vehicles, around the shop, even picking up spills in the house. Once the AC drain clogged and we had plenty of suction to clear it. The multi filters mean you are not spreading dust, bagging is the best way to go, the main filter stays clean. When detailing a car, you can really use the wet vac on your carpet and cloth seats. We spray distilled water with diluted cleaners, brush, then use the wet vacuum to pull the water out. Seats too. We got a second hose, and added it to the other. So when working on vehicles the canister is able to be out of the way, and not banging up against the car door. Longer hose keeps the noise away from you as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍X-5 The size is deceiving, it is the perfect size for it's purpose. ... show more

  • Cleanest way to removing flies from the home!!!!
Size: 5 Gallon
If I could add an additional star to this review, I would. I have used this shopvac for just about everything, including non vacuuming projects. Yeah, the component holder tbat many have given only 4 stars for is annoying, but fact they put one on in the first place, and that when you put the components in the right slots hold them without any issues, and that everything works above my standards, they get 5 stars. But lo and behold, I discovered another use that has come in so handy, there absolutely needs to be a 6th star!!!! Why rate a vacuum higher than normal standard? Because I found a MUCH better use that is so satisfying, it turned an annoying chore, into a satisfying game, where the little buggers score is 0, and my score about 233 as of this writing! Oops, make that now 235! Never knew a shop vac could be so satisfying! And no, I dont mean Scary Movie satisfying either. Im talking annoying house flies!!! Discovered the one thing they cant avoid!!!! So how well does this shop vac kill/catch flies? Let me tell you, with the heat wave we had the past few days, and work getting done on old sewer lines has caused a lot more flies to be around as it is. On top of that, my kids AC just died so ordering a new one. In the mean time, kept windows open with a fan to circulate the air, and one of the screens got torn due to one of our cats. On top of that its my kids birthdays. One right after the other. So took them out to celibrate and totaly forgot to close the window. When we got home, my daughter pointed at the ceiling. When I looked up, my eyes widened in horror! Hundreds of dots littered the ceiling, and a few flew by my face where there was light. I have never seen so many flies in one place. We each grabbed an electronic fly swatter, which sadly, Amazon no longer sells this model, and started swinging at ones airborn, and at ceiling to get them moving so they could be zapped as well. There was so many, the coils started burning and melting! On top of that, I noticed an open box of cerial my kids left out fallen over with the contents on the floor in hard to reach places. I then get the shop vac and go to use it to get all the cerial cleaned up. As Im vacuuming up the cerial, a few flies go buzzing by my head so point the hose with adapter on it near me where the little huggers are, and see them get pulled in. I get an idea, and put the 3 hose extenders on, with the attachment for corners, then raise it by each of the dots on the ceing. I knew I might get only a few, and that many more will just fly away, but to my surprise, that didn't happen!! Not sure why, but it was as if they couldnt see the vacuum hose comming. Moment the head of the vacuum came within 3 inches of a fly, it got sucked in!!!! And because of the filter and disposable vacuum bag, they went jn, but not out. Most of the flies didn't move until it was to late and got sucked in. Its the few that took off that made me extremely happy with the vacuums capabilities. If the vacuum head was withing 4 inches of a fly when it took off, the fly did not get away!!!! Moment it took off, it was a gonner and sucked right in!!! Within an hour, our home was completely free of flies. I actually took a tally as each one went in. What was even stranger, was listening to my two children bicker over who got to vacuum next. Trying to get my kids to help with vacuuming, is like having a tooth pulled. They normally bicker on whose turn it is just to avoid the chore. This time they both wanted to get in on the fly removal so was totaly different. What was even more shocking was the fact they had been anxious to get home to play the new video game I bought them for their birthday that they have wanted for a year now, and chose the fly cleanup instead! Heck, I even asked them if they were my kids, or alien clones lol. My son told me to leave the window open again to let more flies in. I said noooooo! But Id be lying if I said I wasn't thinking the same thing. During breaks, I put a plastic bag over the bose with two rubberbands, then took the shop vac out side and threw the bag out so if any escaped, least not in my house. Best part, was clean and no mess, no cooked fly smell as you get when using a electric fly swatter. ... show more

  • Great Device
Size: 5 Gallon
I had a 14 gallon Shop-Vac that was just too big to roll around indoors, so I bought this one. It's made well and has a surprising amount of suction. It's nice and sturdy.

  • Good vacuum but with limits...read on!
Size: 5 Gallon
I bought this ShopVac with the intent of vacuuming up powdery diatomaceous earth from my house and to clean the basement, sparing my real vacuum motor. I have used it just a few times but I can echo some of the the other reviewer's thoughts: - Assembly: Some of it is just intuitive, like where to attach the handles. However, the holes in the handles are too small and it took way more trouble than it should have to screw in 2 screws! The black foam sleeve that goes over the housing under the paper, dry filter goes on easily. However, putting the dry filter over it? Not easy. Cumbersome. In fact that's how I would describe the assembly process: Cumbersome, needlessly so. And do not feel like the instructions will help you much. They have combined the instructions for different models making it difficult to know how to follow them....plus pictures are awful. Seriously poorly done. - Use: I think the suction is good. The wheels are great and it moves around quickly without effort on the floor. The hose is long and the extension handles fit well together. I really needed an attachment for the area rugs especially because the need for removal of diatomaceous earth which is a powder. So I used duct tape on the distal end of the last handle extension to increase the diameter so I could attach the carpet attachment from my other vacuum which uses air to drive it. (Great Vac backpack vacuum, which I love). This works great!!! The other Shop Vac attachments are perfectly fine but the floor attachment is just rudimentary hard plastic so I don't think I'll use on my hard wood floors. - Logistics: The cord is RIDICULOUSLY too short. Seriously, I would like someone to explain why. So a power cord is essential. The tool holder is a terrible design which is poorly placed and falls off easily with use. I think I will discard. As instructed, I am using the bag which came with it along with the filter because of the powder and its risk of ruining the motor. So I think once you understand its limitations especially with assembly, then I think it's a good purchase...but they make you work for it... ... show more

  • Great Suction
Size: 5 Gallon
The hose is a little small but figure the suction would go down with a bigger hose.

  • Great little vacuum
Size: 5 Gallon
I've not ever used it to vacuum wet stuff. But for dry things it works great. Has lots of suction. I use it on my shop floor, to vacuum out my truck, etc. Lightweight. I'm happy with it.
