Each sheet yields four half protective soles for a cowboy boot size 11D, therefore a bargain for the price. The thickness seems to accurate at 1.2 mm. For dress shoes or women’s shoes you may want less thickness because de protective sole ,once attached, increases the profile of the whole sole a bit. I have glued the pieces to the boots with Barge All Purpose Cement ($9.00) so the repair has cost me around 10 dollars (maybe less if I consider that I have a substancial amount of glue left). If I take these boots to the shop the repair will be 40 or up. Now, if you are not on a budget take it to the shop. The probability of making a mess is “medium to high” if you are not well versed in handyman’s aptitudes :) This evening I will take the boots for a a first walk and I will report if I come back with the soles or without them. The soles to my favorite flip flops dry rotted and this was a perfect replacement. Gives my shoes great grip I have no fear of slipping. Was supper easy to cut to fit the shape but you will need to buy shoe glue they have no adhesive to it.

Have a few pair.of.shoes that were seriously worn through soleS. Ordered this product (2x) to try and repair them. Sheet is a bit thinner than expected (have always had issues visualizing measurements). was easy to cut to proper shape. Sole material was attached with a cobler rubber cement and allowed to cure for two days before attaching actual sole tread to it. Again allowed two days curing before trying to use repaired shoes. The smooth side of sole material separated from shoe after about 3 hours wear. Perhaps a better quality cement or abrasion of smooth surface will improve this issue. ... show more

I used these to replace the bottom of a pair of heels that had a worn grip. The listing says non-slip but as soon as I stepped onto a smooth surface that had a bit of moisture on it I almost twisted my ankle trying to avoid falling! I would not recommend this as a grip replacement for any shoe especially a heel or shoe that you will be wearing anywhere aside from carpet! ... show more

My fault; I made an assumption, based on previous order if a like item. This one has no adhesion like an order I made of smaller ones. My fault, I made an assumption that it would have a pull-off back and then I would stick it to the shoes. I purchased this item because reviews and description mentioned it would make the shoe soles a bit more quiet; I have nephropathy and foot drop and I sound somewhat like a galloping horse when I walk.
