Each sheet yields four half protective soles for a cowboy boot size 11D, therefore a bargain for the price. The thickness seems to accurate at 1.2 mm. For dress shoes or women’s shoes you may want less thickness because de protective sole ,once attached, increases the profile of the whole sole a bit. I have glued the pieces to the boots with Barge All Purpose Cement ($9.00) so the repair has cost me around 10 dollars (maybe less if I consider that I have a substancial amount of glue left). If I take these boots to the shop the repair will be 40 or up. Now, if you are not on a budget take it to the shop. The probability of making a mess is “medium to high” if you are not well versed in handyman’s aptitudes :) This evening I will take the boots for a a first walk and I will report if I come back with the soles or without them. I bought this ten dollar item to put new glue-on soles on my old Sperry Topsiders. The uppers never wear out....the soles do. So, I used a leather craft contact adhesive and a hammer and this material works GREAT.

Not at all what I expected. I thought it would be some thin but sturdy rubber. This feels like foam and looks like it would last maybe 1 day walking outside. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone for any purpose.
