    • Great! Tip for squeakiness
First off, a tip!: If you are experiencing squeakiness with these take them out of your shoe and sprinkle in some baby powder in the shoe, enough to cover the entire sole, but a very thin layer, and then reinsert the insole. Ta da! No more squeak. Not a tip, but more common sense: This insole is meant to replace the insole that came with the shoe when you bought it. You are supposed to remove the original shoe insole. And now my story: My ASICS were older and looked OK but I think I’d worn down their supportiveness. For several months I thought I’d done irreparable harm to my knees. They would slip and cause momentary accute pain. I was very unstable with my new trick knees. I didn’t associate my knee issue with my sneakers. I bought these insoles to see if I could add back some stability. Literally IMMEDIATELY after adding these insoles to my shoes my knees felt so comfortable and sturdy. I have not had my knees slip out even once since using these insoles. So much mental and physical relief! Probably buying new sneakers more often might have accomplished the same thing? The quality is really nice, they last a good 6 months straight with little wear and tear. I have a job where I'm always on my feet, and these help reduce pain and gives me the ankle support I need without forcing my foot into an unatural arch (I have flat feet). The material when trying to fit it to size was easy to cut off. Worth the money, I've bought them twice now and I plan to replace them as needed for the foreseeable future. ... show more

    • Not nearly as supportive as I expected
The insoles are very cushy, so they’re easy to walk on and comfortable on the soles of your feet. The sides that are supposed to support your heel from rolling. I also very soft. Not as much support as I had hoped for.

I've had trouble with my shoes lately and need more support but my shoes are all still good. These have helped a lot. They give me more arch support and make my shoes just the slightest bit tighter (I think some of them have stretched out because they were a bit loose) so that I can walk more easily without my feet slipping around. The heel is nice too since it gives me a bit more stability there with the edges that turn up a bit. I had some concerns cutting them to size because the shape doesn't quite match my shoes but honestly I haven't even noticed. This is an excellent value for your money. I had to trim just a little bit to fit into my shoe but it was perfect. You do not hear any noise whatsoever. It adheres to the inside of your shoe perfectly. I highly recommend this to anyone who has plantar fasciitis and has to be on your feet all day long. The only drawback is that this is wider than any of my shoes. While it’s easy to trim the flat ares, the support areas are difficult to trim to size without a few uncomfortable edges. Not a big problem, but depends on where the discomfort is, so be careful trimming.
