    • Step up in comfort over the OE Merrell inserts.
I accidently damaged the inserts of my Merrell Moab shoes and needed something to replace them. There are loads of options out there, but I typically got Dr Scholls work inserts historically. (It has been a while since I last got any though.) These were what I saw that fit the bill, I am 200lbs exactly and have been stable at that weight for 7 years. So I got these as they are advertised as 200lbs+. I used my old insoles to cut the shape needed for my shoes and they fit perfectly. The comfort was immediate and I can praise that with much gusto. However, there is one thing I wish was better, and that is arch support. If you have moderately high arches, like me, there isn't a lot of support. It is still a improvement over my Merrell OE inserts, but it is something I could see being a touch better. It does do as it says and I am feeling less knee pain. It hasn't done much for my lower back, but I have only been wearing them for a week and that may be a long term improvement. I can say, I am now able to walk all day without feeling pain in my feet though, outside of a touch of arch pain but that is super minor and takes 6+ hours before I start to notice it. Good insoles but not as comfortable as their 'walk on air' cloud ones. I have to switch back and forth between the two because these really help with knee pain but the others are more comfortable.

    • This set of items works better than the originals (different manufacturer) I purchased years ago.
I found these to be much more comfortable than the ones I bought years ago. Because there are indicators at the front edges of these inserts, I was able to trim an exact match inside my shoes. Once they are matched to the size of the inside of the shoe, they stay in place. Also, they don't fall out of the shoe. I have significantly different size feet (3 sizes) and both shoes are very comfortable. I especially like the markings on the front of the inserts that match up the correct shoe size by simply trimming them to the correct size.     • Made shoes with no support feel expensive
I bought a pair of shoes and expected there to be arch support. There was absolutely no support and I was disappointed as I liked the look of the shoes but flat and uncomfortable. I decided to try these and the shoes feel entirely different and like an expensive orthopedic shoe. LOVE these inserts. Shoes are so comfortable now. I first bought five pairs of these shoe inserts in May 2019 (for $13 each) for someone else and they arrived in perfect condition! I cannot comment on the quality since I never heard any complaints from the recipient, but hopefully there have been zero issues. Because of this and the fact that they were sold at a decent price, the “Dr. Scholl's HEAVY DUTY SUPPORT Pain Relief Orthotics (Men's 8-14) // Designed for Men over 200lbs” [sic] gets a serviceable 3/5 stars! ... show more

Had been using this sole for a long time. With this sole, it helps a lot in lower back pain when walking for a long period of time. Downside is you have to change the sole at least annually due to the wear and tear of materials.
