Out of the box I thought it was perfect. Great styling & finish with the front controls. Big numbers & not to bright & very easy to set. I found ONE problem. The speaker is on the BOTTOM & fires Down. I mean you cannot muffle the speaker. There is no volume control & firing down into a cloth covered table top absolutely kills the alarm. It was a low blow. I removed the cloth but without volume control it was not loud enough. To be honest my hearing is compromised. My left is poor hearing my right is ok but not good. When people speak clear I hear them just fine. Anyway if you have hearing problems I would pass this alarm by. If you need a louder alarm, definitely pass. ... show more

I needed another electronic clock. This new one measures 7" inches across. Whereas my older one from Sharp from decades ago, measured at 9"inches across. They both have a little door towards the bottom of the clock that you may install a 9-volt battery (Just in case you don't have an electrical outlet near you, or better yet, in case the power goes out for whatever reason, you won't have to reprogram the clock). And if you do, for whatever reason, it's no big deal because it's so easy to program it. The other thing that I like about this new clock is: the fact that it has a built-in night light should you wish to use it. It also comes with a one year warranty. The only thing that I didn't like, but it's no big deal because you don't really need to read it. Is the fact that the instructions on the little tiny, tiny little booklet piece of paper it's so small that you can't even see it with a magnifying glass. Perhaps you need a microscope. Just kidding. I'm just saying that to make you laugh. Though the print is extremely small, you really don't need it. Though I can never figure out how and why print that is so tiny, tiny never tends to bleed with ink when they print it. ... show more

Since I'm retired, I have no need for an alarm, so I won't speak of that feature. What I will tell you is that this is an easily read clock, and I found it very easy to set in synch with the internet time on my iPhone. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.

The clock is fine. Works as it should. The only downfall is the tone and volume of the alarm. It is too loud and startles you into waking up instead of just waking you up. Will see if it is just something to get used to or not.

Best alarm clock ever! I love the huge display, it is VERY simple to use, and seems very reliable! It also keeps time very well, maybe a minute off a year. If it had a celling projector, it might be just perfect! (I have another device that does that, but it loses time constantly)
