Actually, very pleased with this purchase it was more on the budget friendly side of all the different versions. I wasn’t sure how well it would work, but I would have to say it is better than my Royal carpet cleaner. At 1/6th the price point. Yes I would recommend this to anyone. It seems to have a little better carpet, cleaning solution spray and decent design for water recovery. One thing we noticed was we have four very large dogs that are long hair and the waist water collection. It has a decent screen on it. That seems to catch all the dog hair, so it’s easy to remove dump and separate the water from the hair because of this screen, that was a feature that was not expected, but works quite nice. There is one note that came with the vacuum cleaner it’s saying you need to use their carpet cleaning solution otherwise it may damage the vacuum so I’m not sure that that is a huge plus but can be easily overcome by purchasing additional carpet cleaning solution bottles at the time of purchase. I cannot understand how Shark products are all so good. When it was time to buy a new carpet cleaner because my Hoover or whatever failed, I thought all my Shark vacs have been great, let's try their carpet cleaner. I am not disappointed. It gets the carpet very clean. It is medium weight and not too hard to maneuver. Cleaning it after use is relatively easy compared to other cleaners. The recovery tank is a bit on the small side, but its well worth the sacrifice for its overall great performance. Like all carpet cleaners there is a bit of leaking/dripping, but far less than other machines. Overall, I strongly recommend this machine, and can think of no significant negatives. ... show more

First, I wish it had more capacity, you have to refill and empty pretty often. The machine worked very efficiently pulling dirt that we didn't know was in our carpet. The water was black as it was retrieved. The machine was easy to use and instructions while minimal were adequate for reasonably intelligent people. I gave it 4 stars because of the capacity but I think if you have a carpet that hasn't been cleaned this is a magnitude better than renting a cleaner. After use our carpet looked like new, it pulled up the pile in a manner that was retorative, our neighbor liked their unit too and suggested running it again an a couple of weeks. My wife vacuums weekly and there's just the two of us, and we don't wear shoes in the living room so the amount it cleaned was a surprise. ... show more

Shark carpet cleaner I recently got my hands on. Honestly, I grabbed it for what felt like an absolute steal, and it's turned out to be a total workhorse! I had this queen-sized room that was, well, let's just say it had seen better days thanks to a rather messy tenant. This machine really rose to the challenge and got it looking sparkling clean again. It's genuinely super simple to set up and use, which I always appreciate. Just a heads-up, it can get a little on the loud side, but I think that's pretty standard for a powerful cleaner, right? I did find myself doing a couple of passes over the really tough spots, but that was definitely more about how incredibly dirty the carpet was rather than any fault of the cleaner itself. Very powerful cleaning and a compact unit. Pros - instantly removes stains without using tons of water. *Excellent extraction*. Easy to fill and empty. Simple design. Can’t really knock it on the capacity of the extraction tank, it’s small but easy to empty. I would not recommend this for really large projects - if you need to a do a large room end to end you’ll spend a lot of time emptying and refilling tanks. But if you’re using it on sections of 20-30 square feet at a time it’s perfect. Dollar for dollar this is the best you’re going get imo. ... show more

So far so good! It is super lightweight and overall cleans very well. I love that it has a dry only mode so it makes cleanup quicker especially when cleaning up around a toddler and rushing to get pee out of the carpet from our dog.
