I got this vacuum for the sole purpose of cleaning up any tracked Cat litter my two cats may have kicked up on their way our of their litter box but find myself using for not only that small little spots that need a touch up on the carpet Build: it’s made up of plastic off course to keep the hand held experience nice and light but it’s not cheap feeling plastic it’s definitely study to where a drop or two won’t end its career and the attachments provided also are well crafted Suction : it’s suction is actually better than my current vacuum funny enough (it is 4 years old though ) it comes with two filters that’s recommend to be cleaned every month but with what I use it for I clean it every other week and so far it has not lost any power what so ever in the time I have had it , it’s picked up cat litter and things of that size really easily and hard to get items like pieces of sting that are packed into the carpet Ease of use : You turn it on via a button and from there you can get to vacuuming away , it’s fairly light to me and my fiance we both have no trouble using it for extended periods of time Overall I would say it’s worth the buy not only for pet use but for the car as it’s nice and compact for that as well or if you have any kids (not personally ) but I can see this working well if they drop some fruit loops on the carpet or such ... show more

So this thing works ok. My wife loves it. The battery life is not as good as I expected. It lasts around 45 minutes. It takes a while to charge up as well. The suction is ok, but not impressive. I would personally rather use my big vacuum. However it is nice for small messes such as coffee grinds, salt, sugar. Much easier than getting out the big one. The cordless deal is nice for that. But if it is alot to deal with I prefer the big one which is a shark as well. ... show more

Veteran Shark customer so I gave this one a try to deal with quick clean ups with my messy pets. Powerhead cleans like a beast and the powerhead picks up hair like a full size vac! Shocked at how well it cleans. Perfect for your blinds, dusting, furniture, cars, etc. Easy to empty and same with filter changes. Battery life is very good for the power it has. Edit: called up their service line, which was a little tedious but service fixed the problem quick with a replacement being mailed out. So great service, but there are still there are some drawbacks. We've had this vacuum for less than a year. It has a nice set of attachments. Suction is pretty decent for a unit of this size. The pet hair/carpet rolling suction attachment is a nice idea but it's not super effective in getting off cat and fine dog hair. It probably would be okay for thicker hair. It's clearly a bit more premium than the cheaper units you can find at Amazon. Build quality generally is okay, and the unit has a nice weight and balance to it. The worst thing about this vacuum is that it's incredibly fragile. Over repeated inserting and removal of the different attachments the tip shattered. As far as I can tell it's not replaceable. We use this maybe 1x a week, so it's not due to heavy use. Looking at this, once the tip shatters further, it's over, that's the end of the unit because you can't attach anything to it. The cracks are slowly making their way down the side and it's a matter of time (a few months?) before we won't be able to use this unit anymore. Other things that aren't deal breakers but aren't great either: (1) the cleanout buttons get stuck really easily and it can take a lot of strength to pop open the buttons. My mother for instance can't push hard enough with her hands and has to gets spoon or something to pop it open, and my wife struggles to open it. (2) the lack of an affordable mount is just silly. If you call them up you'll be told it costs like $30 total to get a base you can plug this into. It makes this unit much less aesthetic and inconvenient than other systems that come with a base, or have an affordable base that isn't 3/5 the cost of the vacuum. I wouldn't take any stars off for this though, you should expect it as it's pretty clear there is no base or mount for this thing. Still, c'mon Shark, you're kind of a premium brand compared to other vacuums you can get around here. (3) The suction isn't bad but isn't awesome and has been getting worse over time -- and it's been less than a year as I mentioned. Might be the broken tip, might be fading batteries. Neither are great. (4) as some other reviewers mentioned the suction comes out of a very small tip which makes surface cleaning tedious because you have a small high suction strip or a wide low section bar. ... show more

I love that this gadget is lightweight, makes life easier for some of us. The trade off for me is the lack of suction. Like another reviewer, I find my Shark plugin stick vac with detachable hand vac gives me the suction I need for cat litter and larger debris. I can see how this would be awesome for someone needing light weight & light duty. Wish it had a docking station I could mount with the accessories. I find it more useful after I’ve vacuumed and see the odd spot I missed. For heavier debris like the cat litter we use, you almost have to be right on top of it to suck it up. ... show more
