I’ve used quite a few Shark products over the years, and honestly, they continue to impress me with how well they combine convenience, design, and actual cleaning performance. This Shark StainForce Cordless Portable Spot, Stain, & Odor Remover System has quickly become one of those grab-and-go cleaners that I find myself reaching for constantly instead of dragging out a full-size carpet cleaner. The first thing that stood out to me was just how lightweight this machine is. For something with this much suction and stain-removing power, I was genuinely surprised by how easy it is to carry around. It’s compact, cordless, and extremely easy to maneuver, which makes a huge difference when you’re cleaning stairs, upholstery, rugs, car interiors, or random messes that happen throughout the day. Shark really nailed the portability factor here. The cordless design alone makes it so much more convenient because there’s no searching for outlets or dragging cords behind you. I also absolutely love the storage caddy design. Everything stores together neatly, which sounds minor until you’ve owned cleaning tools where attachments end up shoved into random drawers. Having the tools, cleaner, and accessories all organized in one spot makes it feel much more practical for everyday use. It genuinely feels like Shark thought about how people actually live and clean. Performance-wise, this thing works. I specifically tested it on a raspberry stain on my kitchen rug because berries can leave behind stubborn color stains if they sit too long. I sprayed, scrubbed, and extracted the stain, and it removed it far better than I expected. The suction is surprisingly strong for such a compact machine, and I like that it doesn’t completely soak the area while cleaning. The low-moisture system helps prevent oversaturating fabrics and rugs, which I appreciate since some spot cleaners can leave things drenched for hours. The design itself is also really sleek and modern. The Glacier Blue color looks nice, but more importantly, everything feels intuitive and easy to use. Setup is minimal, and I like that you can basically grab it and start cleaning immediately without dealing with measuring solutions or complicated prep. Shark markets this as an “always ready” cleaner, and honestly that description fits. One thing I do wish Shark included is a dedicated storage spot for the charging cable or plug. I actually looked for one because it feels like it should have been built in somewhere, but I couldn’t find any storage compartment for it. Considering how thoughtfully designed the rest of the system is, it would’ve been amazing if the cord could retract into the unit or tuck into a small hidden compartment on the caddy. Not a dealbreaker at all, but definitely something I noticed. As for pros and cons after using it: Pros: Extremely lightweight and portable Cordless convenience is a game changer Strong suction for a compact cleaner Removed a raspberry stain from my kitchen rug very well Storage caddy keeps everything organized Easy setup and simple to use Great for rugs, upholstery, stairs, and cars Doesn’t oversaturate surfaces Modern, compact design that’s easy to store Cons: No built-in storage for the charging cable/plug Smaller size means it’s better for spot cleaning than deep-cleaning an entire large carpet Cleaning solution may need refilling more often during bigger jobs Overall, Shark really outdid themselves again with this one. It feels designed for real everyday life — quick spills, pet messes, upholstery touch-ups, car cleanup, and those random accidents that happen when you least expect them. WARNING! : The cap of the stainforce cleaner had cleaner in it and sprayed when the trigger was depressed before being attached to the bottle. This is extremely worrisome for kids. When I turned the nozzle to see if I could lock the nozzle, it still sprayed! There was no off. And this was before the nozzle was ever attached to the bottles. Hopefully they don’t all come this way, but this is a design flaw if a safety has not been built in. (Minus one star for safety). Shark made an innovative and user friendly design when they created this spot cleaner and caddy. The emphasis on the 5 stars is on the user-friendly piece. The caddy holds everything you need (except a storage space for the charger and spare filter that came with). The vacuum fits together with the smaller brush in the holder and the larger accessory brush in the center of the caddy. On the end is the proprietary design cleaner. Some things to know: The cleaner is proprietary. You can keep the top sprayer and just purchase the refill bottle. I am sure you could put your own carpet cleaner spray in the slot on the caddy (if it fits), however, I’d expect this would void your warranty. The price of the cleaner is also in line with other carpet cleaners. Charger: see photo, this is not a standard charger and there is no storage space on the caddy for it. It is a con for me, but I won’t take off a star. Don’t lose it. Caddy: Dimensions of the caddy are in the photos in case you’d like to try and figure out a space to store it. It’s not too heavy to carry, which makes it easy to bring out to your car, up or down stairs, and even over to a family members house if they are in a pinch and need your help. Versatility: There are directions for a variety of stains. If the stain is fresh, wet (extract first before applying stain remover and scrubbing!). For set in stains, you use the stain remover and scrub before extracting. Stain Remover: This is NOT a vacuum. It is a stain remover. If there are solid particles, clean those up first with a vacuum before using the stain extractor and scrubber. This is a pricey product and you would not want to damage it by trying to use it as a vacuum.

With 2 cats, I always need to clean up unexpected spills and stains on carpet and upholstery, all the time. I have a 29 year old corded/30 lb steam full-size carpet cleaner, but it isn’t always convenient to haul that one out…so that is why this I need this in my life. The Shark is sleek, handheld, super lightweight (only 3 lbs…that’s crazy insane that this is that light!), and I can clean up those impromptu pet spills super fast, without having to lug out my heavy, vintage steamer. Definitely a win for me. So what you get is the Shark dual-action cleaner, the handheld steamer, the upholstery and rug cleaner attachments, and the very handy carrying and storage case that keeps everything super organized, and primed and ready for your next spill. So how this works. You spray your spill/stain with the included concentrated Shark cleaner, then use the handheld cleaner to extract the stain. I love the cordless convenience of this Shark cleaner..this gives you the flexibility to use this on sofa, chair upholstery, without needing to lug heavy cleaning supplies upstairs or maneuver around cords, outlets, and cats. I really love how lightweight this is, and how easy to hold (ergonomic) the steamer is, and really would even make spring cleaning my car, a piece of cake. There is no need to mix or measure the cleaning solution, since it is already good to go…this is a 2 in one cleaner…just snap on the sprayer…plus this has the fantastic cleaning power of OXY clean, which is something I use ordinarily whenever cleaning my carpet, because it is a tried and true pet-safe cleaning solution that does really work on pet stains. (With my current cleaner I have to mix it, and always mange to spill it when trying to measure it, so would love to simplify my life and that part of my cleaning routine, thank you very much!) So far, I have used this on their cat tree, on our recliner, and on the carpet for some spills/stains—that neither of them are confessing to… I am also including pics of the items you get with this kit, and some of the items we cleaned after they had been cleaned and dried, so you can see how it performed its magic on 2 types of carpeting, shorter pile and longer pile carpeting, and woven chair upholstery fabric—for your reference. I highly recommend this, especially if you have pets or young children. This definitely works for our family and can work for your family, especially if you need a portable, cordless, and effective cleaning machine that gives great results!

I really have nothing but good things to say about the Shark StainForce Cordless Portable Spot, Stain, & Odor Remover System. The vacuum is small, easy to handle, has quite powerful suction, and sports cordless convenience. The system includes the cordless vacuum itself with two interchangeable brush heads (narrow and wide), one spare foam filter for the vac, a dual-component bottle of spray cleaning solution with trigger-pump spray head, a wall-wart for charging the vac's internal battery, and a handy storage tote that holds the vac, the second (wide) vac head, and the bottle of cleaning solution. The vacuum unit is very well-built, and easily comes apart for effective and thorough cleaning. The small brush head removes with a simple push of a release button to allow swapping in the wider head when needed. The motor is enclosed in the fore part of the vac (the see-through part) and has a very strong suction courtesy of its high-RPM centrifugal impeller. The rear portion of the unit (the handle) contains all the electronics: including the on-off switch with integrated LED status indicator, the internal rechargeable battery, and the charging port. The brush heads each contain a removable 2-sided brush pad. One side of the is for cleaning more delicate surfaces and contains softer, wave-like "bristles", while the other side contains stiffer nubs for more robust agitation of the area to be cleaned. As mentioned previously, the cleaning solution is a 2-part system, consisting of two separate bottles bound together. One bottle contains the detergent mix, while the other contains an Oxy booster to increase cleaning ability. A specially made pump spray head attaches to both bottles, and draws solution from both simultaneously when pumped; combining them inside the sprayer. It seems to work very well. So far we've used it for cleaning two separate areas, each containing VERY old pet stains. The solution has a very light and pleasant scent. It can't readily be detected unless the nose is brought very close to the cleaned area. While conducting the two "test cleanings" I was surprised how well the system cleaned up the treated areas, especially since they were quite old and set in. The vacuum worked very well at sucking up the liquid, leaving only a slight dampness to air dry. One of the spots only took one treatment for the stain to disappear completely. The other one - the one shown in the video - (which was on an area rug and received lots of foot traffic) took three spray/rub in/vacuum cycles to (nearly) fully remove the stain. I would highly recommend the Shark StainForce system to anyone, particularly for people with pets (and associated pet stains), small children, or anyone who occasionally makes accidental spills and other messes. I wish my wife and I personally had this system when I accidentally allowed a bowl of tomato soup to fall from my hands and fall hard on the table, splattering LOTS of the soup onto a nearby drapery! We likely would have been able to clean the mess up without damage if we had this tool. Instead, we laundered the drape, and although the stains went away; as a result of the washing it shrunk by eight inches and had to be replaced. Buit that's in the past. Going forward, we are now fully equipped to quickly handle any kind of messes that our cats (or a clumsy husband) can throw our way!

This Shark StainForce is a handy little spot cleaner for small messes around the house. The cordless design is the biggest advantage. When we first got it, I quickly took it out and tried it on a spot that we got gotten on our carpet from a kiddo's spaghetti accident... I was able to get the stain out that had been there for a week. There is a QR code to watch the video of how to assemble the vacuum and a second video how to use it. Assembly was super simple really didn't need to watch the video. Disassembly of the unit to clean it is very easy. TIP: I don't feel like this was well stated in the video, but it helps to go really, really slow when picking up the cleaning solution, don't move the vacuum too quickly back and forth over the carpet, you have to go slow enough for the vacuum to suck up all of the liquid from the carpet. It is easy to grab quickly for carpet spots, rugs, stairs, upholstery, or car seats without having to drag out a larger carpet cleaner or find a nearby outlet. The storage tray and caddy setup are nice because the tools and bottle stay together, which makes it more likely that I’ll actually use it when a spill happens. There was an extra air filter that was included with the vacuum, I'd wish the caddy had a little drawer or to store the extra parts. This is best for smaller stains and quick cleanup jobs, I would not use this on a stain larger than about 1-3 sq. ft., it would take too long to clean.

This product is nicer for small jobs. So far this has done a decent job with small clean ups and liquid cleaning. It is a pretty small device to be honest. I cannot say it is the strongest vacuum but it does the job on small messes. It is relatively light so you are able to handle it with one arm without much issue. It is a nice thing that you can easily carry around the house as there is a carry case for it and the spray solution. The solution that you need to work with this is provided but only as a sample size. It is not a full bottle as what is shown in the picture so you have to purchase that separately. The carrying case is not too bad. It is has made it easier to carry my vacuum around as well as store it in my closet. It is a bit unbalanced in terms of weight due the vacuum being heavier. It securely holds everything so you do not have to worry about anything falling out. There is not bag with this so it is easy to just pop open to pour the contents out just make sure you thoroughly wipe it down as needed. The clear casing allows you to see where you may need to wipe down. It does not hold much though so do not expect this to be used on big jobs as you well constantly need to empty out out due to the smaller container. The filters do the a good job with keeping things out of the machine part of the vacuum. The device does have a built in battery but you can use it as well if it is plug in and charging. So far the vacuum does not get jammed which is good and it is pretty easy to clean things like the head and container. It cannot really store a good amount of dirty so I found myself needing to pop it open and dump out out the content each time. I would recommend doing so after every cleaning to avoid it from getting super dirty and smelly. It has several head pieces so you can get a better cleaning experiences for certain surfaces. The brushes I do try to clean up as needed. Overall I think this vacuum works great but I cannot say it is worth the high price tag for being a hand held. It is more compact and portable but I find it is limiting for just small clean up rather jobs like your car carpets as an example. That being said, I found this is more for quick clean ups from liquid to debris. The device is pretty loud and the battery last for quite sometime. The suction does a good job on the small messes and it is light weight so it is easy to carry. The casing case is simple but I would recommend cleaning out the slot as needed. It is also easy to swap the head pieces off.

This is not a cheap setup, it costs as much or more than some "spot bots" and does a far worse job than any of them that I have tried. I am really shocked at how bad this is, for a Shark product. You are expected to use their proprietary cleaning duo, and nothing else, which is ridiculous. I have a 5 pound old lady chi who sometimes misses her potty pads and I was hoping this would keep us from having to pull out the shampooer, well it doesn't. We used a pee pad to soak up as much as we could then, followed directions, sprayed and used the spot cleaner, which is REALLY LOUD, to scrub and suck the cleaner residual pee, up. Next day, there is a light-yellow stain. The cleaner and the spot cleaner didn't do the job, so out came the shampooer, which isn't a shark, but it did clean the stain and a LOT of foam came up even though we only used water. So not only is the spray not cleaning the stains, but it's also just sitting in the carpet along with the pee. I am dumbfounded on what the purpose of this thing is, because it's not cleaning stains. The capacity won't suck up any decent sized spills either. I can't imagine we will use this again, if it can't get up a small amount of little dog pee, what use is it? I was going to give it 2 stars and I couldn't justify that, so 1 star it is. DO NOT BUY THIS.

This kit was easy to unbox and appeared more complicated than it really was to assemble. Made of our sturdy plastic , parts just click into place or release with a push of a button. The caddy holds the spray, the spot cleaner with both brush heads yet no place for the charger cord? Bruh. (easy to lose as it's small). The brush heads have reversible plates which gives greater selection in cleaning ability. They designed the caddy so you can easily clean/rinse the cleaner after using which is pretty cool. One of the best features in my opinion is the ability to disassemble the brush heads completely exposing the inside suction channel. it allows you to get all the grime/hair out from there (unlike other cleaners out there, where you end up with partially blocked stuff). The cleaner itself is really long and at first feels kind of awkwardly balanced in the hand but it's not bad. If you have weak hands or carpal tunnel, it "may" be an issue if you use it allot instead of episodically. The concept is to spray with their propietary spray (2 solutions mix once sprayed) , aggitate with brush then suck up to remove stains. It is NOT like other cleaners that depend on a tank of solution and waste tank to clean. Overall, I love this for spot cleaning car seats and couch stains. The biggest issue with it is that the solution can be costly and there is no means of making your own at home (unless you get creative. Its portability is great to keep under a cabinet, garage or in an RV/trunk!
