🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Shark Vacuum cleaner has garnered positive reviews from users who appreciate its efficiency in cleaning small to medium spaces effectively, the emphasis being on its ability to handle various surfaces with ease and maintain consistent suction power. Users were particularly impressed by the vacuum's design which incorporates smart features and its surprising durability for a mostly plastic build. It's very easy to assemble and its performance rivals larger, conventional vacuums.

Pros

  • 🌟 Exceptional cleaning performance on multiple surfaces
  • 🌟 Consistent and strong suction power
  • 🌟 Easy to assemble and disassemble
  • 🌟 Handy features such as LED lights and a switch for different floor types
  • 🌟 Surprisingly durable given its largely plastic construction

Cons

  • 🚫 Top-heavy design can make it unstable when not in use
  • 🚫 Ineffective cleaning on the sides of stairs
  • 🚫 Storage hook for wall mounting is not included and must be purchased separately

Should I Buy It?

Yes, the Shark Vacuum is a fantastic investment for those seeking a highly portable, versatile, easy-to-assemble vacuum with good performance and consistent suction power. It is best suited for small to medium spaces and handles multiple surfaces impressively. While it has minor flaws, its pros far outweigh its cons.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Color: Bordeaux/Silver Style: Pet Multi-Tool
I am absolutely delighted with my new corded stick vacuum! It has completely transformed the way I clean my home, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. First and foremost, the convenience of this vacuum is unparalleled. Despite being corded, it offers a level of flexibility and ease of use that I never thought possible. The lightweight design and swivel steering make it effortless to maneuver around furniture and into tight spaces, ensuring that no corner goes uncleaned. The suction power of this vacuum is truly remarkable. It effortlessly picks up dirt, dust, and debris from both hard floors and carpets, leaving them looking immaculate with minimal effort on my part. Even stubborn pet hair is no match for its powerful suction. I also appreciate the versatility of this vacuum. It comes with a variety of attachments that allow me to clean everything from floors to ceilings and everything in between. Whether I'm tackling upholstery, stairs, or even the interior of my car, this vacuum has me covered. One of the standout features of this vacuum is its reliability. Unlike battery-powered models that can run out of juice at the most inconvenient times, this corded vacuum provides consistent, uninterrupted power for as long as I need it. Plus, the extra-long cord means I can clean large areas without having to constantly switch outlets. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This corded stick vacuum has exceeded all of my expectations, making cleaning a quick and painless task rather than a chore. If you're in the market for a new vacuum cleaner, I highly recommend giving this one a try – you won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Fantastic small room vacuum, much better than I expected.
Color: Bordeaux/Silver Style: Pet Multi-Tool
I have a big Rainbow vacuum that I use to clean the entire house. I love the Rainbow because it uses water as a filtering medium, so suction remains strong no matter how dirty the "filter" gets and it effectively gets a new "filter" every time it's used. Its only downside is that it's large and bulky, so if I have to vacuum a small section (like, a carpet runner in a hallway) it's a bit of an ordeal to take out and set up. My basement has been converted to a space for my teenage daughter. Most of it is bare concrete (epoxy coated) but there's some carpeting here and there. Further, my daughter's pet rabbit makes its home in the basement so there's a fair amount of rabbit fur and debris (hay, bits of chewed cardboard, etc) around its area. My daughter has been "okay" with keeping the floors clean but since the Rainbow is big and bulky it wasn't as good as it should have been. So I went shopping for a small yet effective vacuum to handle this job and this Shark is where I landed. Truthfully I wasn't expecting very much, but after the first use I was shocked by how good it actually is. I wouldn't use it to clean the floors of the whole house (I can't see it's nearly-all-plastic construction lasting as long as my 35+ year old Rainbow) but I would absolutely use this for a small apartment. Or, of course, our basement. Assembly was insanely easy. I didn't have to refer to the owner's manual for anything, although after I used it I did check it out just to see if I was missing any features (I wasn't). The pieces simply slide and lock into place very securely, and are easy enough to disconnect/disassemble as needed. There are several well-marked, large release latches for this. I particularly liked how the power switch works. For hardwood (or concrete) floors, moving the switch to the first position enables the sweeper on the power head as well as suction, so you're not relying on JUST suction to pick up dirt. For carpeted floors, moving the switch forward enables the beater bar to really get into the carpet fibers. My daughter's pet rabbit roams an area of about 250 square feet, of which about half is carpeted and it hadn't been vacuumed in probably a month. After using this vacuum on it for the first time we filled the collection bin with bits of hay and rabbit fur and the carpet looked every bit as clean as when I use the Rainbow on it. The LED lights on the vacuum head is a nice touch, allowing you to more easily see dirt and debris on the floor (just look for the long shadows). Removing the power head doesn't make you blind, however, as there's a second LED on the vacuum motor that lights the area you're working on. The vacuum head isn't very tall at all, and the hose bends down enough to allow absolutely flat operation. Using this I was able to get under low-lying furniture like my daughter's desk and the nearby shelf units. Suction power is also very good, and consistent throughout its run. I expected the vacuum to be more like the handheld Dustbuster-type vacs we have in the house where power diminishes very quickly as the filter clogs up, but no. Power stayed consistent and strong even with a pretty sold mass of rabbit fur and straw filling the collection bin. Three things I don't like about it, but are minor things overall. First, it comes with a storage hook cast into the casing which is nice, but the matching hook for the wall is an extra-cost item. It's available on Amazon for an additional $24 or you can get an identical third-party unit for less than half. For a nearly-$200 vacuum cleaner, it's inexcusable for Shark to demand additional money for this piece. Second, it's top-heavy. Now, this isn't a shock considering the nature of the unit and I'm not exactly penalizing it for being what it is. But it does mean that when you're done using it for the moment (like, you want to unplug it, or you just need to move some furniture around) you're really going to want to just lay it down on the floor. More than once did I try to lean it against the wall only to have it slide down. If I wasn't paying attention it would have hit the floor hard (top-heavy, remember?) and probably damaged the plastics, which includes the collection bin. And third, the vacuum head doesn't have really good suction on the sides so cleaning the edges and corners of stairs isn't nearly as effective as cleaning the stair itself. You'll be removing the vacuum head to get into those nooks and crannies. Still, even with those issues I'd buy it again. ... show more

  • awesome little vac
Color: Bordeaux/Silver Style: Pet Multi-Tool
this is a very good vaccum, easy to use, easy to clean, great suction and small enough to get into narrow spaces, the light really helps - Biggest negative is there does not seem to be a way for it to lock upright, needs to be leaning in a closet or on a hook

  • Just what I needed
Color: Bordeaux/Silver Style: Pet Multi-Tool
I have the top end Miele cannister vac, but I found I was avoiding using it because it is cumbersome. I'm in my '70's and, ugh, i just didn't want to lift and drag it around. I live with two cats and a dog -- vacuuming is essential! I've had two dyson vacs and both of them broke, didn't keep charge....expensive and worthless. I could not be happier with this Shark corded stick vacuum. It sucks up hair, dirt, everything. It is easy to use and very, very efficient. Glad I took the leap and bought it. ... show more

  • Lightweight and versatile
Color: Bordeaux/Silver Style: Pet Multi-Tool
Well engineered. Many good features. I use on hardwood floors, no carpet. Good suction. Especially like the way the head tilts and swivels every way, making it super easy to steer around corners and under furniture. Light and easy to maneuver without wearing me out. Like the way the long tube easily detaches from the head, making it easy to pick up a few small bits, or reach behind or under something where the head can’t go. Assembly was just 123 easy and it was ready to go. I also like the swivel hook that holds the cord. When ready to use the vac, you don’t have to unwind and unwind the cord — just flip that hook down and slide the cord right off. Ready to go. Nice long cord. Also like the built-in part that allows you to hang the machine on a hook. It hangs upside down, but that doesn’t seem to matter. The dust cup goes on and off easily. Overall, it’s a great cleaning tool and easy to do quick jobs around the house or a thorough vacuum job. I don’t have carpet so I can’t speak to that. But if you have hardwood floors, you will probably like this. The cord is sometimes a nuisance, but that’s no different from any corded vac I’ve ever had. I prefer the corded model because I don’t want to fool with charging the other kind. Very good machine and well priced. ... show more
