As pet-sitters, we are constantly hosting different dogs in our home. While we love these pups like our own, we definitely do not love the massive amount of extra fur they leave behind! This Shark Performance vacuum has been an absolute game-changer for keeping our house clean. It handles the constant influx of pet hair seamlessly across every single floor type we have—from hardwood and tile to multiple types of thick, high-pile carpets. First off, assembly was incredibly easy. It came with instructions, but the design is so intuitive I didn't even need to use them! Once put together, it is a dream to use. While it is a little heavier than my old vacuum, it moves much more smoothly across the floor, making the extra weight completely unnoticeable. The advanced swivel steering is incredibly easy to maneuver around furniture and dog beds, and the low-profile floor head actually fits under most furniture with ease. A massive win for us is how it handles our washable rugs with rubber backing. Our old vacuum used to constantly suck the rugs right up into the roller, making them impossible to clean. The Shark cleans them effortlessly without devouring the rug! It is also incredibly convenient to have the suction and height adjustment features right at the handle. My old vacuum’s height adjuster was all the way down on the floor head, which made transferring between different types of flooring a real pain. With this Shark, the switch is completely seamless. Here is a breakdown of the specific features that make this vacuum stand out: No Hair Wrap & Massive Suction: The DuoClean PowerFins HairPro dual brushroll system is amazing. It digs deep into our thick rugs and directly engages the hardwood, pulling up hidden pet hair without any of it wrapping around the brushroll. Convenient Emptying: The bagless dust cup is uniquely designed to empty from both the top and the bottom, which is incredibly convenient for getting stubborn clumps of pet fur and dirt out without having to reach inside. Powered Lift-Away: Being able to lift the pod away while keeping the motorized brush roll running makes it so easy to get deep under furniture or handle above-floor cleaning tasks. Fresh Smelling Home: The Odor Neutralizer Technology actually works to keep the vacuum from smelling like a wet dog, which is a huge plus when you use it daily. The Only Downsides: There are just two minor flaws keeping this from being completely flawless. First, the power cord does not retract, which would have been a great convenience feature. It's a shark, that goes a long way. By just reputation alone we decided to try one. We have had Hover's for many years. No Comparison, the shark has a learning curve to it. Oh, there's No bristles on the roller. It has 2 rollers, works Great on carpet. You can select the amount of suction it has. Which helps. Cord is a little short for a Convertible. And it's Heavy. The swirling Handel, the head gose in all directions, it's nice, helps to maneuver, because it is heavy. The Convertible is really light. And the wand is fairly long. And not too hard on the wrists. I'm loving this vacuums. The suction is strong and picks up the fine silt that was left behind by my shark stick vacuum, i will never buy another cordless. The ease of removing the canister to dump it out is well made. I like that it slides into place. The functionality of being able to remove canister to get under beds and such is a A+, so happy with this feature. I decided to go with this vaccume because of the felt roller for the fine silt we have as well as being able to get under the beds. I hope it lasts awaile, then it will be worth the money, this is the first vacuum I have paid over $200 for. As others have mentioned its a bit heavy but I can live with that. Mine came with a lot of attachments and a bag, some I've never seen, so that a bonus ... show more

Works great, easy to assemble and lots of attachments, but quite a bit heavier than my older Shark vac which is why I gave 4 stars. I was impressed by the amount of dirt it picked up from my seemingly clean floors!

    • 6 cats, two dogs, 3400 sq ft, and 18 ft ceilings. All around great!
I have 6 cats and two dogs in a 3400 sq ft house. Vacuuming is a several time a week event. The Shark Performance has made a significant difference around here, I couldn't be happier with this purchase! The wand comes apart in two places for the attachments. You can choose to use the short attachment for up close areas such as furniture, or the long piece for fans or high corner areas. I also have 18 ft ceilings and this vacuum has been great for reaching areas that have previously been a pain. The included bag has several attachments and all have been great for various uses depending on what you're doing, the crevice tool has a removable brush on the end for hard or soft use depending. The debris holder is deatachable so you can slide under areas without having to move furniture around, so it goes everywhere. Times when you may want to push things to the next vacuum because you have to move furniture are over, just remove the bin and slide the vacuum under to reach all areas needed. This thing has power and will get all of the hair and dander like no others I have used. I have purchased several over the last couple of years, but none have done this great of a job. The fragrance piece that goes into the bottom is a great touch, it sends out a nice scent as you vacuum, adjustable to how strong you choose. There is a light on the front of the suction piece that brightens up where you are vacuuming, I had no idea how nice that is until use. The rollers along the bottom are different from the normal brush pieces in a usual vacuum. The cloth brush and the rubber brush are set up so hair or other debris doesn't get stuck and wrapped around them. I haven't had to cut anything or deal with things stuck in either of them, at all. I have taken it fully apart twice since purchased for cleaning, I like to make sure the filters are clean and everything is maintained to prolong life. Very easy to take apart and clean. I love everything about this vacuum. It is well worth the cost and I will not be going back to the others I have purchased prior in big box stores. All around amazing and worth it!! So far I'm loving my shark! Best vacuum I've ever had. It's powerful, yet runs a lot quieter than expected. It is a bit heavy, but glides so smoothly, it doesn't even matter to me. Many people mention that it's hard to vacuum thin rugs, but if you adjust your setting to high pile and vacuum towards the edges and not from them, it won't suck up your rug! I love that I can vacuum virtually anything with the variety of settings and attachments in just the click of a button. I'm ok that the vacuum itself only holds 2 attachments at a time, I just put my most used ones on there. Best vacuum I’ve purchased in a long time! Easy to assemble. Great suction with adjustments to match flooring. Attachments work well and easily store on the vacuum body. I love the light in front so I can see what dust and dirt might be under furniture. Hose is long enough to reach most ceilings and under furniture. Cleaning the dust canister is easy and I like that I can wash it in the sink. Filters are easy to access, clean and replace.
