    • I love my new vacuum cleaner!
I hate cleaning house but I do love a clean house so when I psyche myself into cleaning I get into the nitty gritty. I've had a Shark Navigator Liftaway for a number of years (maybe 10?) but it recently started making a loud noise that my incredibly handy husband couldn't fix. It still works well but I figured it was only a matter of time before it conked. I researched for a couple of days and this one had everything I wanted. This was supposed to be a renewed one but from everything I can tell it was brand new. The only difference is that it came in a plain box with no product labels. Now about the vacuum cleaner... I had no idea I needed that light on the front. Scary what I find now. The suction is great and I love that there is a min and max on suction -- perfect for area rugs as well as vacuuming drapes. I have two cats and everything is always covered with fur but this baby gets up the fur. The swivel moves more freely than my old one so that takes a little getting use to. This one is also several pounds lighter than the old one. The power brush for the stairs works much better than my old one - the brush on the old one stopped moving with pressure on it -- this one doesn't. Everything on this unit works well and it easily comes apart and back together for reconfiguring. The lift away design is genius and makes cleaning the stairs so much easier. The only thing I noticed that was a little annoying is that the brush was easily knocked off the holder. Also, like the old one, it tilts over easily when the hose is disconnected to use hand tools but not quite as easily as the old one. But those are so minor compared to how great this vacuum is. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate. This is a good one and buying a renewed one saved me some money. Couldn't be happier. ... show more

    • Game changer, much better than the the 22 pound bagged upright it replaced.
It is a pleasure to operate a 12-pound vacuum that is more maneuverable and easier to use than the old 22-pound clunker it replaced. The swivel head makes it easier to get closer to sofas, beds, etc. It is very easy to remove and empty the canister and satisfying to see how much dust, cat hair, and other unknowns were sucked out of the carpet. There is a power setting (on the power switch) for hard floors to reduce the speed of the rotator on the head. It works very well on hard floors. The 3-foot wand detaches from the vacuum so it is easy to go along the edges of the floor without bending over. The lift-way feature is also handy if you need to walk around without the floor head. We ordered an extra filter set and rinse out the foam filter after each use, then replace it with another one while the rinsed-out filter dries. The instructions say to let it dry for 24 hours and to not use soap. All-in-all a genius design that this easy to use, with all the right options to make vacuuming easier than ever before. Shark vacuum- long lasting, never loses suction, long cord, and light weight. Easy to put together. I love being able to control the rollers and the suction power, as well as using the attachments while vacuuming. Value for my money!! Much better than a Dyson.

    • Sent broken vacuum
I was sent a broken vacuum. The suction never worked properly and now the motor is overheating. Shark is unable to do anything.
