First of all I have the Shark Rocket Pet Pro cordless. I have to say that this cordless is better in every way. It's sturdier, because the folding mechanism for the Pet Pro gets wobbly after a while. It has more suction and it's easier to use. I like the button setup. A reviewer indicated that the buttons are not responsive. This is not true. You press the power button and it turns on. When you change settings you press the buttons and they change. I'm not sure what that person's problem is. The reason I like this feature is you can have two settings for floor and carpet. Also, there are three settings for suction. I choose the second setting for suction, because our carpets aren't that plush. When you are done, you press the power button and it turns off. You don't have to press hard or press multiple times. Just one time. Also, it keeps the floor setting in memory. If you have the hard floor set it stays, if you have carpet set, it stays. Reviewers complain about the weight of the unit. This is not a problem. I have had carpal tunnel surgery in both of my hands and I don't have any problems using it. I have a corded stick vacuum from Shark that does cause numbness in my hand because of the way it is designed. The vacuum I am reviewing is designed extremely well and It's very comfortable to use. It does weigh more than my Rocket Pet Pro, but it seems more sturdy and robust, not heavy. It weighs more similarly to a traditional vacuum, but not really. I would say my Rocket Pet Pro seems more plastic and the one I am reviewing is more solid. I suppose if you have weaker arms, then there may be a problem, but that sounds like a medical issue and maybe you shouldn't be vacuuming in the first place. As far as suction goes, I would say it's not as strong as my corded Bissell, but it's definitely more powerful than my Rocket Pet Pro. It's seemingly more powerful than it needs to be on the highest setting and if you vacuum daily using the second setting. Some people have clumps of dirt and hair all over their house. I think you'd need a Miele for that problem of not being diligent keeping your house in order. As far as maneuverability it's my favorite vacuum. My Rocket Pet Pro kind of flops around, my Bissell is difficult to maneuver with its wide base, and my Shark corded stick kind of floats and maneuvers in an almost self propelled way, which is fine when you mow with a lawnmower, but not great on carpeting. The vacuum I am reviewing maneuvers very steadily and has a similar feel as my Rocket Pet Pro without the super light feel. It feels easy to do what you need to do. It's just right. The suction is wonderful. You can get away with using the lowest setting if you vacuum regularly and also the second setting, which does a bit more. The third setting would be if you have a nasty house and you need to fix things quickly. Remember the higher the setting the less time you have to use the vacuum, because of power consumption. I would highly recommend this vacuum. It is by far my favorite one I've ever owned. I was thinking that missing out on the folding of the Rocket Pet Pro would be bothersome, but it's really easy to take the hand unit of the new vacuum and hook it to the base. I've done that a number of times and there have been no issues. It just sets on there easily. I'm not sure if you are into looks, but this vacuum looks sharp. The design team did a great job. I can't think of any cons with this vacuum. I'm sure there are better vacuums, but I haven't used any. I think the idea of a canister is a hassle. I like having things right there and I can go from room to room more speedily and without a cord. I suppose there are people who would enjoy doing this. I like the technology and ease of use with this vacuum. It feels like a big upgrade from my Rocket Pet Pro. The dust cup is bigger. I prefer the fins on the roller. The digital read out is easier to analyze than the three lights on the side of the battery. It shows the percentage left. The floor choice and the suction power. Overall, it's fun to use and if you take care of it, it should last a very long time. My Rocket Pet Pro will be 4 years old in October. So, Shark makes great vacuums. It seems to pick up dust and hair really well. I'm excited to say that the dust cup is easy to empty. Sometimes that can be a problem with other vacuum cleaners. This one captures long hair and then it is easy to remove later. The tools that come with it are perfect. One of them is specifically for picking up animal hair. I have a cat and it makes quick work of her hair on the couch and comforter. It has almost like a lint remover feature and then the hair is sucked up. The other attachment is longer and can be used to vacuum under the couch, in the couch, or is especially useful for cleaning your car out. I could go on and on, but I'll mention one more thing. The wheels are excellent. They move great and are smooth. If they ever get clogged, there is a way to remove them and then add some oil and they will be as good as new. Really great vacuum and works very well. we have had an iRobot for a year and a half and it works great but for our home layout, we have to move certain things every time. So after a while it gets annoying. We still have our 16 year old Kirby vacuum, and recently we remodeled our home from carpet to LVP flooring and the Shark makes more sense now. ... show more

There are some pluses and minuses on this product. It has a strong engine, it does pick up dog hair and has a bigger canister. It goes for 60 minutes on eco settings, and has a boost setting. The blades are easy to clean and there is a battery led indicator with percentages vs. lights to let you know how much battery life is left. The want is long for hard to reach places for cobwebs or hidden dust. The front lights are very bright and light up the area well. The minuses: The engine is bulky and awkward to handle. When you vacuum, it brush head assembly keeps tilting back and you have to stop, put your foot on the assembly, to continue vacuuming. The brush head has a limited turning radius, maybe 90 degrees, and you have to pick up the vacuum and reposition it. If you need to take a break, you can't just keep it standing up, it is too heavy. You need to disassemble the engine from the rest of the vacuum and place it on the notch it has. The canister is big but less emptying, but the dirt and hair does not easily fall, you still have to reach in and get to it. The engine is extremely loud and annoying. Just my 2 cents. ... show more

This vacuum is better than the previous one that came out. The suction is good, move ability is good. Easy to clean/empty. I really like how its lightness, makes it easy to maneuver. I am really happy with this purchase
