PROS: I LOVE having a feature rich, two-door/zone chest refrigerator! I can't believe they packed so many features into these units and offer them at a more affordable price than the other brands making two-door/zone refrigerators. You get -strong carry handles, thick insulation, lights inside of the compartments, two temperature controls for the two separate compartments, multiple power draw settings, and protection for your vehicle starter battery! Another pro, that I didn't take advantage of on this purchase, is that they make slide-out trays to fit some of their refrigerators. So if that's something you're interested in, double check to see which refrigerator models they make the slides for. The box arrived in great shape. It was shrink-wrapped, banded and contained custom molded Styrofoam padding. The box was so well made it looks like I picked up from the factory instead of it having been shipped. The shipping label placement caused a problem...see "cons" below. CONS: The shipping labels should be positioned right next to the "This Side Up" printing on the box. Placing the receiver's address on the sides of the boxes, forces the various truck drivers and loading dock employees to place the refrigerator standing up on it's side so they read/scan the address fast and move on to the next piece of freight. I picked mine up from a secure carrier will-call area inside of a drug store and they had to do the same thing to the box in order to read the label easier and they were annoyed that I mentioned they left the box standing on it's side, in the wrong position. People don't like to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, etc... because a large segment of the population finds these activities painful plus the lighting they're using to read the label is going to be on the ceiling so shouldn't the shipping label be facing the ceiling instead of a wall? Another solution would be to use those brightly colored stickers on all four sides of the box, directing the shipping companies/docks/will-call areas, to keep the refrigerator in the correct position. I think this will lead to fewer damaged units. I emailed SetPower with photos of the shipping issues and they were very responsive. I followed their directions for letting the freon settle and it powered right up! I'm still nervous about whether or not the shipping caused an issue that just hasn't manifested yet, mostly because, like everyone else no one likes to ship back large items and I don't have room to store such a big box, for a "just in case." I recommend this brand of refrigerator for sure because SetPower put a strong warranty on it, packed it with more features than some brands costing double the price, and SetPower is great at customer service! ... show more

This thing cools fast and stays cold relatively easy on both the freezer and refrigerator sections. It takes a while to get the hang of the digital thermostat and I actually used two other thermostats to check against the units which seemed to be correct. I ran it on my Jackery for a while and usage was very minimal so I then left if unplugged to see how it held its temperature and in today's heat of 105 outside it rose from 38 degrees to 54 degrees in about 4 hours and about the same rise from 10 degrees on the freezer side. My only complaint is the side of it is severely scared so I don't know if it was a return unit or damaged somehow in shipping as the box it came in seemed to be very secure but I suppose something could have poked through the handhold on the box and scratched the side as it appears something rubbed against it. Other than that little problem this would be a 5 star rating but that small item does not probably rate a return and reorder and honestly it will get used in the future so I highly doubt it will stay scratch free after all it is a portable freezer/refrigerator Last note is I purchased the 35qt model and if I order another one for boondocking use I will order the largest size now that I know it works so well. ... show more

As we were planning our 900 mile off road trip in our Willys Jeeps we decided to try out a refrigerator instead of trying to find ice every few days. I was a bit skeptical when I tested it on my bench thinking I could run it during the day and it would stay cold all night. It will not. It looses temp especially in the freezer in about 4 hours. I tried again with leaving it hooked up to the jeep battery overnight. It took it down to about 11.5 volts but stayed cold. Then I installed a deep cycle/starting battery and it stayed above 12 volts. On our trip with the PT35 in the back of the Jeep on trails and very rough roads it never changed more than a couple of degrees. (Freezer set at 05deg. Fridge at 34deg.) Sure the paint is rubbed off of it in places but it performed like a champ! I plan on building an overland type camper and will be looking at a little bit larger Setpower Fridge for that too! ... show more

Ok let me start with the delivery Amazon, you need to do a better job! They layed it on the side when they delivered it even though the package clearly had it marked. (Not the fault of Setpower) I let it sit for 2 days before plugging it on and testing it. And I was impressed it literally froze 3 bottles of water solid and kept Temp cool on the fridge side. My fist outing with it I went off road for 6 hours and put ice cream sandwiches in the freezer about an hour and a half before we left. We stopped off on the side of the trail and had them 5 hours after we put them in and they were perfectly frozen. I got home about midnight and turned it off before heading in and going to bed, woke up the next day and had my morning coffee then went out around noon to get the water bottles and they were still frozen solid. Love that it has a light and you can see in it at night no problem. Oh and it's amazingly quiet. ... show more

I am very pleased with my purchase. I am a trucker and I'm over the road six days a week and my previous fridge just wasn't able to keep my items cold because of the hot temperatures. Nothing is worse then having your food and drinks luke warm when you are anticipating cold and refreshing. The market is flooded with products some in this price range but most much more expensive. I am very satisfied with my purchase because it has out performed my expectations. Low power consumption, ability to keep and hold food at a consistent low temperature, quiet and powerful unit, built durable, and priced well.
