  • Works great
Size: 63QT-LG Version
Only used it a couple of times, but it has done exactly what it is advertised to do. The cheap/flimsy handle (mentioned by other reviews) is the only negative so far and it isn't that big of a deal. I love this thing. I think it is really quiet and does a good job regulating temperature. The pull-out baskets are great, so you can get your stuff organized and leave the cooler closed while you do so. I paid extra for the LG version, but who knows if it was worth it. My suggestion is to buy a smaller one to freeze water bottles and then use them to cool a rotomolded cooler like a Yeti. ... show more

  • Two T Model Dual Zone Alpicool
Size: 63QT
What I have noticed. I have a T38 and a T60. I love the both of them and both have the insulating jackets. I have been experimenting, switching units and checking temps and run time with a Jackery Explorer 1000. With the T60, the larger of the two gets me two full days of use with 11% left on the Jackery. Settings were 10 and 35 degrees and on eco mode, empty except a 20 oz bottle of water which froze on the first day. I only checked the cooler in the morning of both days. With the T38, same parameters, water froze, 45% left on Jackery, second day. cooler was off, Jackery had 0%, water still frozen. I don't know why the smaller cooler used more juice. Starting reading everything, and found there were lots of differing results on usage and opinions. I have determined each cooler functions differently and with varying test parameters. That actual temperatures vary from readings by 2 to 5 degrees. In my case, that was not an issue. Frozen water is still frozen water no matter what the temperature reading on the led. I noticed my coolers ran exceptionally quiet, contrary to some others. I have no complaints, just trying to figure out why the smaller cooler used more power. I would buy and recommend these coolers to anyone that needed one. ... show more

  • Not Reliable Over The Road, Waste Of Money
Size: 53QT-LG Version
After using this dual refrigerator/fridge for just one month, I’m extremely disappointed. I had it plugged in 24/7 for 30 days while on the road, and out of nowhere, it completely stopped working. Everything inside—hundreds of dollars worth of food—was ruined. This is unacceptable, especially for a product meant to be used in mobile or over-the-road environments. (The temperature of the refrigerator would fluctuate between 30 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit, but it would not freeze, effectively maintaining a cool temperature suitable for storing food.) To make matters worse, the customer support team has been zero help. They refuse to replace the unit or even offer any real assistance in diagnosing the issue. I expected more from a company selling a premium portable fridge. Now I’m stuck with a dead unit and no resolution. Don’t waste your money—this product is unreliable, and the support is nonexistent. ... show more

  • Fantastic Refrigerator/Icebox
Size: 63QT
We do a fair amount of cross-country driving. Usually have a cooler w/us depending on the trip. This trip was a 4 day drive and we had to bring in food supplies and needed to stay frozen. During the trip up, dry ice was particularly hard to find. Regular Ice just didn't keep the meats frozen like we needed. For the return trip, we purchased the Alpicool T60 Fridge/Freezer. Looking at primarily the freezer operation in this case to haul back the fish, meat and vegetables we were bringing home. The Cooler met and exceeded my expectations. When we got it, read thru the instructions and got it cooling down to -10 degrees w/in about 45 min. on AC pwr. If using only as a freezer, it's very easy to operate. To use as a Fridge/Freezer, you place the patrician back in and it splits the operation of the cooler into a Freezer/Fridge operation. You can set each section individually at the temps you want. In our case we only needed the Freezer operation for this trip. Works really well whether on AC power or DC power. Since it didn't have a battery to keep it running at night when we'd stop, we'd roll the cooler into our room and plug it in. Back in the truck, back on DC power. Operationally was great. By the time we got the Cooler home, it had started to develop frost inside the cooler and everything was frozen solid. Had two complaints about it, but not enough of an issue to me to drop a star off the rating. 1. The instructions were not laid out well. The instruction manual had multiple models listed in the manual. Was confusing at first which page was for our unit. Because there was so much info on the pamphlet, the text was small and in my opinion, needed to be re-written to make the instructions more clear & simple. As a Tech minded guy, I knew what they were trying to say, others may have struggled w/it. My suggestion for them is the just have the one pamphlet for the one product only on the sheet. I know it will cost a few more pennies to have multiple instruction pamphlets, but think it would be worth it. 2. Was not impress w/the handles to move the cooler. Yes it had wheels on it, but when you have one of the larger coolers loaded, depending on what you are hauling, the cooler could be 40 to 65 pounds or more. As they coolers get larger, My suggestion would be to add another set of wheels on the other end of the cooler so you could just pull it along. Trying to roll the cooler w/the extended handle they provide, made for a strenuous lean and bend of the back when you go from parking lots to rooms and back. As well, the handle that you use, should be thicker and rounded, maybe even padded. Would fit the hand better. After moving the cooler into my room the first night, I had very red pinch marks on my hands from hauling the cooler to my room. Took a few days for the pinch/bruising to go away. Was it the end of the world, no, just a bit of an annoyment. Moving forward, I'm going to get one of those little collapsable luggage dollies and will be all good. Like I said, my 2 gripes, were just that gripes. Not show stoppers by any mean. Overall though; Fantastic cooler. very pleased with it. Highly recommend it! ... show more
