  • Much more than a Portable Refrigerator - Came through in a crisis
Set name: 48QT,APP
Much more than a Portable Refrigerator I originally purchased the **EUHOMY 12 Volt Refrigerator, 48QT** for one purpose—a Fourth of July beach trip. My plan was to use it for that weekend and then occasionally for grocery runs or future road trips. Then life threw us a curveball. While we were away for the holiday, our refrigerator at home failed. When we got back, we suddenly had no working refrigerator while waiting for replacement parts and repairs. What was supposed to be a portable cooler suddenly became our family's primary refrigerator. For nearly three weeks now, this EUHOMY refrigerator has been running **24 hours a day, 7 days a week**, keeping our milk, dairy products, lunch meats, drinks, and other refrigerated items perfectly cold. It has maintained its temperature without issue and has never skipped a beat. I never expected a portable 12-volt refrigerator to be capable of handling full-time household duty, but this one has exceeded every expectation I had. It has turned what could have been a very stressful situation into little more than an inconvenience. The build quality is excellent, the controls are simple to use, it cools quickly, and most importantly, it has proven to be incredibly reliable. In my opinion, the true measure of a product isn't how it performs when everything goes according to plan—it's how it performs when you unexpectedly have to depend on it. This refrigerator passed that test with flying colors. If you're on the fence about purchasing the EUHOMY 48QT, I can honestly say it has earned my complete confidence. What started as a purchase for a weekend beach trip ended up saving us while our kitchen refrigerator was out of commission. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation. ... show more

  • Awesome Fridge
Set name: 48QT,APP
Took on a cross country trip/vacation. Worked great, was able to plug into outlets over night, kept everything cool with no ice stops. With the radio on you won't know its running because its quiet, the app works for Androids. Good purchase.

  • Works great, efficient, and affordable
Set name: 48QT,APP
This refrigerator works just as well as the original models I've had over the years, but at a much cheaper price. I've been running it off solar in my van build and it's been incredibly efficient. The compressor is solid, cooling performance is right where it should be, and it doesn't pull excessive power even when you're depending on battery. I was skeptical about the price difference from the premium brands, but after months of use I can say this thing earns its spot in the van. It keeps food cold, the app control is useful, and it hasn't given me any issues. If you're looking for reliability without the premium price tag—especially if you're powering it off solar or limited battery capacity—this is the one to get. ... show more

  • Great unit, great value, and it is quiet
Set name: 59QT,APP
So far I am very satisfied with this refrigerator/freezer. I am putting it through some basic tests, 12 hour in a hot vehicle it consumed about 50% of my jackery 240 running in commode at 29 degrees. That test is to ensure the unit is able to run through the night with no other input. Passed 2nd test is how long it takes to charge with a 100 watt solar panel. It took approx 6hrs on ecomode at 29degrees. Passed My suggestion is to have an extra power station if your going remote woods camping and ensure you leave the unit in shade or invest in the insulation wrap. I do alot of remote wilderness camping so I am naturally skeptical of the unit. So far it is passing my pretrial trials with flying colors. The app is difficult to use. Make sure you have nearby device connections allowed turned on. And the temperature slider on the app works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't show at all. App is a bit glitch but it works after trial and error. My testing has been with the unit mostly empty. I would suggest setting the unit to its coldest setting -4 and load up your pre chilled/frozen food items. I have found a simple blue ice pack assists the unit from having to constantly cool down all your food items. This prolongs the power station battery life. The unit runs quietly, efficiently, and having a light built in is a plus. Be careful with the lid slamming down and your latch handle. Alot of people report that as an issue but only if you let it slam down. Thus cooler so far is a good value, good size, and can fulfill many useful refrigeration roles, loss of power at home rv camping, tent camping, etc.. it is fairly heavy when loaded so a smaller unit would be ideal for shorter trips but for a week long stripper like myself, I recommend the 59qt version. I would recommend this item and only gave a super detailed review because most people just say they like it or it's junk. This is not junk and it is a good solid unit on a budget. Highly recommend ... show more

  • It just works
Set name: 59QT,APP
I have used this fridge exclusively for almost two months while traveling on the road. It works very well. Cools quickly, is relatively quiet, and allows me to have cold drinks, butter, salads. It holds plenty, and just works. I run it off a secondary battery when boon-docking, and have had it disconnected from AC power for over 24 hours and it never drained the battery. I don't think it draws too much current? I'm going to use it as a fridge in a cabin, so I'm trying to find a link to purchase a second power supply since I modified the first one and it's part of my van's electrical system now. One more comment: they tell you that you can freeze some stuff but this is the reality - the larger section is the main temperature controlled area, the much smaller adjacent area doesn't appear to be actively chilled. So, you put stuff in the smaller area that you don't need as cold, like bread, or water, fruits, medicine. It stays cool, just not cold. If you set the main area up to freeze, I have no doubt it will, and the adjacent area will work well for unfrozen stuff. But, I personally prefer to use the larger area as a fridge, so I really don't have a "freezer" with this unit. ... show more

  • We love it!
Set name: 59QT,APP
We bought this as an extra fridge for our RV. It's awesome! Super quiet, keeps everything very cool as a fridge and keeps frozen food as a freezer. Plenty of room for food or drinks. Has removable basket, so it's easy to load.

  • Perfect for Road Trips!
Set name: 48QT,APP
I absolutely love this portable fridge! It cools quickly, keeps everything cold, and has been very reliable. We've used it on several road trips, including bringing home takeout from our favorite restaurants after a 9 hour drive, and the food was still fresh and delicious when we got home. We also make 3-hour trips to buy fresh fish and seafood, and it keeps everything perfectly cold on the drive back. I recently brought it on a drive to a conference in a different state, and several of my colleagues were so impressed that they said they were going to buy one too. I also like that it's spacious without taking up too much room in the vehicle. The app control is convenient, making it easy to check or adjust the temperature and it's surprisingly quiet while running. ... show more

  • Excellent when working, but beware of AI support and "known" hardware failures.
Set name: 59QT,APP
When it works, its an excellent fridge. But if something goes wrong... Lets just say you might as well throw the thing away. So I bought this to go camping with, take to burningman, grand canyon, etc. Lots of outdoor activities. I tow along a small trailer with a 400w solar panel on the top and a couple of 100Ah renogyn batteries. So always have power for all my toys and the like (including the portable starlink). A couple quick lessons I learned early on. Don't leave the refrigerator in the sun. insure there is always shade on it (easy with the solar panel or camping in the trees) as the internal regulator doesn't like cycling up and down with constant temperature changes. If you're using A/C, this seems to work better (refrigerator isn't trying to be as energy efficient) which makes sense, but means you need to pay attention to a couple things. Second, if you're going out in a dusty environment, you will want to put some filter material over the air slots so that the interior of the mechanism doesn't get inundated with sand/dust/etc. The only caution here is to insure that whatever you put over as a filter material, that the volume of airflow is not impeded. Remember, the way refrigerators work is that they "pump" the heat out and that heat has to be carried away in the air or the mechanism itself will overheat. So with all this said and the many other reviews you can read, this is a solid piece of machinery... until it isn't. One day, the thermometer that measures the internal temperature stopped working on mine. The refrigerator never turned off and the display was constantly showing temps between 80-110 degrees (when in fact I had a separate thermometer inside that showed it was down to 18 degrees internal). Oh, so a component broke, time to call in for help. This is where things started going off the rails. First, apparently this is a known and semi-common reported problem according to their tech support. They discussed replacing the control board however they stated that it fixed the problem less than 10% of the time and that basically they wouldn't do it. Rather they told me to go buy another one and they would "paypal me" (seriously? a major company?) 40% of my receipt.... 40%? So my problem was outside the 1yr warranty period (so yea, my bad, nice I got any offer I guess) but inside the 2 year tech support window. (Apparently if I had called later than 2 years, they wouldn't even talk to me). What got me was that they pretty much knew what the problem was when I called and said "sorry Charlie, go buy a new one". So, is this a quality control problem? A design problem? Apparently something common enough that they identified it pretty quickly along with the "no solution" answer. There is a new model out this year, but I wonder if this flaw was addressed (it might be, but you'd never be told as a customer). So, do I want to plunk down another $250 considering I only got about 14 months out of it (yea, only 2 months over the 1 year). Comes out to about $20/mth... So if you use this a lot (I did for about 4-5 of those months) then the cost bennefit might be worth it to you. But to have to factor in a replacement. Not too sure about that one. Again in summary, when it works, its an excellent product. When it stops working, your milage will vary. P.S. they use AI to scan all emails in and it gives back generic answers that rarely answer your question. It takes a few back and forths before anyone human actually reads your issues and even then only when you keep calling it a "dumb AI, forward me to a human" in every email. ... show more
