Fits a king size bed easily and perfect. The down side to this cover is the construction. It seems like nothing more than a vinyl or plastic protector you may find on a child's crib and it has the appearance of one as well. It's easy to install and will protect your mattress but I believe the materials used in the construction are questionable for an adult's bed unless you have medical conditions which warrant such a cover. I haven't noticed any difference in the temperature or comfort level at night. I bought this because I was desperately looking for a solution to my body's natural heat generation. Ignoring that aspect of it for now, is this a good mattress protector? Absolutely. It does a fantastic job of keeping moisture from actually getting to the mattress itself, it fits my Purple mattress with ease and doesn't move around very much. Also I don't find it to be loud at all as some users said, I don't intend to discount the experiences of others but I read some reviews of people saying that they couldn't roll around with this protector making loud ripping/tearing noises underneath them, which I think is insane. Even if you sleep directly on it, it is barely loud, it's made of a somewhat plastic-y material that DOES make some ruffling noise but it's hardly noticeable. I really have no idea what those people were talking about, their reviews almost scared me off purchasing this thing but my partner and I did not have that problem at all. Anyway, the reason why I give it four stars is because despite being a fantastic mattress protector, it only does a negligible job of keeping us cool at night. You can feel a bit of cooling if you sleep directly on it, but you're not supposed to sleep directly on these things, first of all because the plastic-y material isn't very comfortable to lay on, and second of all because then it gets dirty much faster which defeats the purpose. So we have a normal fitted sheet on top of this (one that also advertises itself to be good at cooling), and when used like that (the intended way to use a mattress protector), I feel roughly 5-10% cooler than when I use the fitted sheet alone. My cat seems to notice a larger difference though! On hotter nights he usually sleeps on the floor, but ever since we bought this thing he will jump right on the bed as soon as he warms up (which he didn't used to do before). But yeah, it's still a great item, but unfortunately it isn't good at the main thing I bought it for. Still worth purchasing and it isn't completely ineffective, just know what you're getting into in advance and maybe don't buy it if you're specifically getting it for the cooling effect. ... show more

I bought this and put it on my bed 4 nights ago. This photo shows my skin temp from my phone app. I was waking up during the night and every morning, covered in sweat. It was really affecting my sleep quality. I love my memory foam mattress for it's amazing comfort, but it retains so much heat. You wouldn't think 1.5 degrees would make much of a difference, but I am telling you--I don't wake up sweating, and I'm sleeping better. My only regret is not buying this sooner. ... show more

My husband and I purchased a "cooling" mattress, but it didn't seem to do the job at all. I purchased this mattress cover after sleeping on our new cooling mattress for about a week and WOW what a difference! The bed is cool to the touch and takes quite awile to warm up. I thought it would have a plasticy feels, but it's actually soft and subtle.
