Our old mattress was starting to get an indent on my wife's side so we wanted something with springs. This came in a thick plastic bag in a giant box. It's really heavy so if you have the option for in room delivery it's probably a good idea. The first night on the mattress was not great it was very firm. It was so stiff and I had to double check I got the plush model. We almost decided we made a mistake with the mattress but we wanted to try it for a week even after a bad night's sleep. I'm happy to say after about three days it started to soften up and we didn't wake up with aches. It's been a few weeks now and it's held it's shape well even on the edges. The center and sides both have good support so no sagging right now. Overall I'm glad we stuck it out but it is a nice mattress at what seems to be a decent value for the features it has. ... show more

This mattress is super comfortable and is definitely high quality. It offers great support, with some firmness but then it adjusts to your body for maximum comfort. It is noticeably cooler than a different Serta mattress I had prior to this one, by at least a few degrees. I wanted to spend quite a bit of time using this before reviewing it. On first impressions, it was well made with good quality materials. The surface is soft. After using it, I found I had less stiffness and pain in the mornings when I woke up. It holds its shape quite well and doesn't leave a dent of any type. This is by far the biggest and plushiest mattress I’ve ever had. We have had it for months and my husband sitting on it in the video is recent. So we have slept on it for weeks and it is still holding up so easily. I will say I was not a fan at first. It was almost too soft or I’m use to awful beds. It took me about a week but now I’m in love with it. I sleep on my stomach and it says that it’s meant for back sleepers but I feel great on my stomach. My husband is a side sleeper which is another reason why we got and he loves it too. We got the 14 plush because we thought it wasn’t going to live up to the description. We were wrong. It 100% lives up to the description. Trust the description but if you’re skeptical like me than no worries. It’s huge though and I tried to take pictures to show how wide it is. It’s as long as my Stanley cup with the straw which is crazy. I’m a nurse and my husband is a blue collar worker. We decided to splurge to make sure we slept good at night by getting this. We were nervous that the investment was not going to be worth it but now we are so excited to get to bed. We wake up more rested in our body feels super relaxed. This mattress is probably good for those who prefer softness, but it doesn't provide enough support for me and therefore was bad on my lower back - clearly I should have gone for the firmer model. The mattress itself seems to be good quality, although the packaging wasn't great. The top and bottom of the box were held together by plastic straps, but the mattress is so heavy that it sagged while stored upright, causing the box to begin separating. Also, the shipping company that handled the delivery made an odd choice - they leaned the mattress partly up against my garage door, which I didn't realize until I was getting ready to back out of my garage and saw it partly blocking my way. Honestly, I don't think I'll order a mattress from Amazon again, unless it's one of those ones that can compress and roll up to fit in a smaller box. ... show more

One tired mom, checking in!! After 3 years of sleeping on my parents' old mattress with our toddler, the springs started to go and we really needed to replace it. I took a risk when ordering this mattress, since I have never tried it before in person. I had to trust my intuition, and it was worth it. The 14" Serta Prescott was exactly what I needed. I'm a side sleeper, and the gel-like squishy top layer cradles my entire body like a big, soft hug. It's a totally amazing mattress. I've slept on it like a baby for the last 3 nights in a row. Our cat and kid love it, too. My sleep quality has definitely improved--I'm not waking up with one of my legs falling asleep, and my shoulders aren't sore in the morning. I genuinely sleep so poorly all the time. I have a hard time falling asleep and I wake up often though the night. This mattress gave me the best night of sleep I've had in I don't know how long. I think the screenshot of my sleep speaks for itself - I rarely get more than 20 minutes of deep sleep all night long even when I sleep 8-9 hours so this ratio is amazing.
