  • Cheaply made, plastic, uncomfortable seat - only made for tall people!
Color: Black/Grey
UPDATE: 3/11/18 I bought this chair 9/1/18. I had my doubts about it at first, but have raised my initial 3 star rating to a 5 star! Read my last update below for more info, but I am still using the chair to get around the house some of the time although I am beginning to walk a few steps here and there again since my severe injury back in November. I really thought that the wheels were going to give out since they aren't designed for how I've been using the chair, but they are still fine! It's still very comfortable, and I've had no problems with it. If you spend a lot of time in the chair, I'd recommend after a few months going back and tightening the screws that hold the arms to the base and the back. I did that last month and they had loosened a bit from when I first put it together. I'm keeping the allen wrench that came with the chair in my office close at hand so I can keep checking their tightness every couple of months or so. VERY happy with this, so well worth the money! UPDATE: 1/31/18 I've now had this chair for nearly 5 months. I decided to keep it since I could not find one I liked better, and needed a chair ASAP. I'm significantly more impressed with it now than I was when I first received it! My initial review was three stars, I've now increased that to four stars. Over two months ago, I tore a ligament in my foot. Major issues with getting around! I ended up grabbing my office chair here, and using it to sit in, using my good foot to push myself around the house. I've been doing this for two months, and it has been so extraordinarily helpful! I am a bit concerned that the wheels might be starting to give out, but then again the amount of wear and tear I've put on them in the past two months is significantly more than one would normally rolling office chair around. I have adapted to the shape of the chair, and find it so much more comfortable now than I did at first. I love how soft the back is, I've adjusted to the seat being harder and tilted a bit. The padding on the arms is an extra bonus. I would bring this up to five stars if I weren't so concerned still about how the arms attached to the seat and the back. Still concerned about longevity. ------------------------------------- I received this chair yesterday (9/7/17). It was not nearly as easy to put together as the listing makes it seem, it would be much easier with two people. Finally have it together and using it. First off, most of the parts are plastic. Very poor quality. Not sure if I will keep this or send it back at this point. I purchased this because my very old previous desk chair fell apart recently, resulting in a frightening neck injury. The arms are held onto the seat by 2 screws each, and the back is only held onto the arms by another 2 screws on each side. The back does not directly attach to the seat at all. I'm feeling very concerned about it breaking like my old one did (although that one had been used for several years first!). I'm also very disappointed that the seat doesn't go any lower. I'm a 5'3" woman with short legs. I can't come close to touching the floor with my feet, even with this on the lowest setting. Seems ridiculous to me; I know many women who are much shorter than I am! Dangling my feet in the air like a child is not conducive to working at my desk or feeling remotely comfortable. There is also a lack of comfort in this chair. With padded upholstery, I expected to have a bit of a cushy feel in the seat, and it is quite hard. The fabric itself is soft, but you definitely don't sink down into the seat at all. I also greatly dislike how the front of the seat slopes downward, which is really uncomfortable in any seated position. Makes me feel like I'm going to slide off of the chair, and if it were slick like leather instead of microfiber, I probably would! The seat is also not as large as I expected it to be based on the measurements given; plenty large enough for sitting regularly with feet on the floor (which I can't do with this), but I'd wanted to be able to sit in it cross legged and it's definitely not wide enough for that. One more note: you cannot tilt back at all in this chair as most office chairs do. You can only sit up straight and swivel. About the only two positive things I can think of about this chair are that the fabric is super soft, I love that the arms are padded - the arms on my old chair were wood over metal and were very hard and uncomfortable. ... show more

  • So comfortable!
Color: Charcoal Grey
My chair I use daily was killing my bad. This is perfect!! It’s so comfortable and helps my back while I work from home. Highly recommend. It was also super easy to put together!

  • Looks Nice - exactly like picture
Color: Beige
This does the job and looks exactly like the picture. My only complaints are (1) it's not very cushioned and feels hard. I replaced a big cushioned executive chair (also a Serta but its bonded leader split after 4 years); and (2) this chair doesn't lean backwards. It looks fine and will be ok for an hour or so in front of the computer, but I may eventually replace this chair with something more comfortable for longer stints in front of the desk. ... show more

  • Nice upholstery, BUT had to assemble every little piece
Color: Black/Grey
The box was wide and long, and I figured it was in a few pieces and would need arms to be attached by us. NOPE ! Felt like it was an IKEA purchase. Had to attach all the screws in the base, attach the pole, the wheels, and so on...took about an hour, but it is a nice computer chair ! Everything was wrapped and protected nicely. ... show more

  • A little too tall, and barely reclines (without modification)
Color: Black/Grey
Needed a sturdier chair for my home office, and I personally like the feel of microfiber vs. leather (or fake leather). The chair has very stiff cushioning (which I like for prolonged periods of sitting) and the arm rests are at a reasonable height and width for me (I'm 6', 220lbs). The chair offers a decently ergonomic experience albeit it's a touch on the tall side even when fully lowered. My 5'4" wife said it would be uncomfortable for her to sit in for very long since her legs dangle a bit. Not too much of a problem for me, but the real issue with this chair is that it leans back only a fraction of what it should. The reason for this is two metal tabs that make contact with the back side of the hinge mechanism. There's only about a 1/4" gap in there which doesn't allow for very much tilt at all, making the chair somewhat uncomfortable to lean back in. It's not even as good as an airline seat IMHO. Ideally, you'd want your center of mass to be able to rotate to behind the hinge point so that the chair can stay reclined without you having to push back with your feet, and this is not the case in the original, stock form. The fix is to take an oscillating tool with a bi-metal blade (or maybe you could use a jig saw, not sure) and chop those tabs off by another 1/4". Now the chair leans back a proper amount, and there's still no risk of it tipping over (for me, at least). Obviously, this will void the warranty, so do it at your own risk. If you remove anything more than 1/4", it might induce a tipping over backwards hazard (especially if you're larger than me) so you have been warned. I have no idea why they thought the extremely minimal amount of tilt was a good thing, or maybe it has to do with how far back the base is mounted to the seat, since it seems like the tilt mechanism is a standard part used in many different chairs. It remains to be seen if the chair holds up over time, but for now, after modification, it's quite comfy and I'm looking forward to using it for a long while. ... show more
