The SLBWMC18 rowing machine is a great rowing machine and a great value. It features uniquely both a wind and magnetic resistance control mechanism which provides smooth resistance and about all the resistance anybody would want. The rowing action is very smooth and quiet. Assembly is relatively simple. As an elderly man recovering from a catastrophic crash this machine is essential in my recovery. I have used the pro machines at therapy clinics and this machine is ajluequivalent. This machine does what the manufacturer claims. And the machine is well constructed.     • EXTREMELY EASY TO ASSEMBLE
I WAS VERY HAPPY WHEN I LOOKED AT THE DIRECTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY AND SAW HOW EASY IT WAS GOING TO BE TO ASSEMBLE THIS ROWER. EXTREMELY EASY TO ASSEMBLE IS A BIG PRO FOR ME. A CON WOULD BE HOW SMALL AND HARD TO READ THE DISPLAY IS. BUT IT ISN'T EXACTLY A NECESSITY . I AM A BIT DISAPPOINTED AT THE HIGHEST RESISTANCE SETTING IT IS EASY TO ROW. BUT I WAS ONLY ON THE MACHINE FOR A FEW MINUTES AFTER I ASSEMBLED IT. SO I ASSUME AFTER ROWING FOR 15 MIINUTES OR MORE IT WILL BE A MORE STRESSFUL WORKOUT. THE MACHINE FOLDS UP TO SAVE SPACE VERY EASILY. IT IS NOT VERY HEAVY SO IT IS EASY TO MOVE FROM ROOM TO ROOM. THE NOISE LEVEL IS VERY LOW WHEN ROWING. I LIKE HOW THE FOOT PADS SWIVEL WITH YOUR FEET SO IT CUTS DOWN ON YOUR RESTRICTION. THE SEAT SEEMS TO BE SOFT ENOUGH BUT I HAVEN'T SAT ON IT FOR A EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME. I LIKE HOW THE SEAT ISN'T TOO SMOOTH SO IT KEEPS YOU FROM SLIDING AROUND THE SEAT PAD. THE ROWING MACHINE ITSELF IS VERY STURDY AND WELL BUILT. I had been looking to buy a rowing machine for MONTHS but couldn’t find any w reviews that I thought were worthy until I found this one. So far so good! I’ve had it for a few weeks now. It was super easy to assemble and I’ve had zero issues. It makes very minimal noise that you can’t hear it room to room. I completed my first row at 45 mins on level 3 and it was challenging!     • Loved it until screen stopped working.
Update: after using the machine for roughly 20 minutes every morning, the machine still works great. However, the screen that is supposed to tell me stroke rate, distance, etc has stopped working all together. It just flashes big zeros. Changed batteries and everything. I had never tried rowing before, but my husband loves it. This machine has been great!!! It’s basic, but works well. I find myself randomly hopping on it throughout the day because it really is enjoyable!! I took 1 star off of easy to assemble because it was a bit of a pain in the butt. I chose a rower because of the range of muscles that a rowing machine will develop. After pouring through specs and reviews, decided on this machine. I have zero regrets. Is it gym grade? No. It's a home-use rower, but it's good. It has different resistance levels. My only knock is that the foot holders are designed for someone with bigger feet. However, it's a great workout so I can overlook the feet thing. Recently, a kid I was babysitting broke the digital counter. As my husband and I do challenges that count distance, I was really bummed. I reached out to the company. They were really friendly and super quick to respond, and they sent me a replacement. Hooray! !. Packaging - Well protected by molded styrofoam & heavy duty cardboard. Enough tape holding the foam to the parts to make Scotch jealous. 2. Assembly - Pretty straight forward, with all tools & bolts in blister pack & labeled. 3. Function - First impressions are device is sturdy, well made, seat & rowing mechanism are smooth. This rower uses fan resistance & magnet resistance. There is an adjustable vent to blow air on you to cool you down a little. 4.
