These two together cost considerably less than the near $300 that we bought for our daughter. Then again, we didn't need anything that expensive since we are just beginners whereas our daughter is more of an advanced player. The paddle is rated for beginners and intermediate. I love it, it is light weight and perfect, the only issue I have is that I purchased two of them but could not register the second one for the warranty. It would not let me. The price was perfect, I got two paddles with Amazon for the same price somewhere else for one paddle.
