Seiko's Melodies in Motion Clocks are enchanting and magical. This clock brings the magic of a starry night to life. On the hour, the dial opens to reveal a turning decorative wheel and plays one of six Hi-Fi melodies plus an opening and ending melody. It has a metallic silver case, a demonstration button, and volume control. This clock is enclosed in glass, the pendulum features Swarovski crystals, and an off/on switch. This clock will light up your house year-round. The perfect gift for a lady, the whimsical Seiko Melodies in Motion Wall Clock is designed with a unique segmented dial and sparkling Swarovski crystals for an elegant appearance. This unique wall clock is includes a golden-accented castle and fireworks display surrounding the dial, and embellished with sparkling Swarovski crystals. The white dial features black Arabic numeral hour markers and is segmented to part on the hour, revealing a decorative fireworks turn-wheel embellished with sparkling Swarovski crystals. On the hour, the timepiece is set to play one of six Hi-Fi melodies, including: Amazing Grace; The Planets Jupiter; Waltz Of The Flowers; Salut dAmour; Pictures At An Exhibition; Promenade; Dance Of The Reed Pipes.     • Interesting Alternative to Conventional Clocks
There really isn't a whole lot to say. If you already know about Seiko clocks, you can plainly see what this one looks like. However, the pictures on Amazon do not really do it justice. This clock is gorgeous. On the hour (or when you press the demo button) the clock face breaks into 4 parts and they all spin 360 degrees, with a couple of pauses, and then they all come back together in about a minute. When the face comes apart, there are larger spinning gears behind, and they are inlaid with colored glass that are very beautiful. The gears spin, and the fireworks and stars around the edges light up. The ferris wheel at the center at the bottom also spins constantly, not just on the hour. It's just enough movement you make you admire the conservative care and beauty that went into making this clock. The only real con is that it only comes with six melodies. For $400, yo would think they could add at least another six. But that really is a minor gripe, the clock would be worth it if there were no melodies. If you want to see what it looks like when playing the songs and coming apart, search YouTube for "Seiko" and just find this clock. ... show more

This is my Second Animated theme Seiko Wall Clock. Love the quality clock & animated movement. This one having a larger speaker than my first clock thereby the musical audio is fuller. My first clock 17 years ago still works which I got at a warehouse club store where you see the less expensive models every Christmas. This one is a lot more expensive because of the particular model & features. Well worth it. Makes a great Gift for Birthdays, Weddings, & Retirement. Love the animation of this clock. Especially like the lights. The music is great! I wish you had an option of turning off the music ONLY when it is dark outside. Keep the lights going each hour. I am enjoying the clock a lot!!
