I have been keeping an eye out on the robot lawnmower market for a long while now. I have been waiting for a unit that checks all the boxes for my needs. How does this one meet my criteria? 1. Manufacturer Continues Updates and Support - Check! 7. Decent Warranty Coverage - Check! 8. Handles a Large Area Without a Premium Price Hike - Check! As robotic lawn mowers have matured, I have been keeping an eye on Facebook and Reddit groups to understand their limitations and potential issues. For instance, I have frequented competitors' Reddit forums and noticed that they tend to stop worrying about their earlier models as soon as new ones arrive on the scene, leaving a lot of frustrated users. I have not noticed that pattern with Segway. I have seen lots of reports of mult-year users still happily mowing their yards the easy way. So when Segway released the X450 and it met all of my needs, I was ready to jump in. The app is great, and so far I have mowed my large property one full time, and it is working on the second run while I am at work. I have tried the app on both an iPhone and an Android, and both work identically. I used a coupon on their website that gave me a great discount and an extra year of warranty! Be sure to look for that. I will update my review as time goes on and I have more insights.

Very misleading - they do not tell you that the "size" of the mowable area is limited by software. So the 1 acre mower is limited. They say its a hardware problem, but its not true. You can have the x430 mow the same acre every day, but if you want it to mow more - the app does not let you save the map.

I bought this Mower a month ago. I mapped it using the provided tools I have a yard around 1.75 so this was the closest match and wanted to map multiple areas so I could mow certain areas less frequently than others, I'm happy to mow less frequently to accommodate the mower however the software has a strict mapping limit and refused to let me save the map. When I contacted technical support to ask why it was setup so I could mow the same 1.5ac area every day of the week but can't mow 0.25 acres a day in different areas each day. They said and I'm using their words "we cannot compromise on safety and must avoid any potential hazards" Despite advertising this as efficiently mowing 1 acre a day. In the end I had to trim off the edges from the Map to be able to save and either have to re-map each week or mow manually around the edges. This felt like a totally pointless artificial software limitation. Update: Customer service contacted me to hear my concerns, after the initial dismissal they came back and acknowledged the software limitations and agreed to increase the mappable area which they have now done. I was very impressed that they responded so quickly. It is clear that they are willing to listen to customers and strive for a better product. With the software update my immediate concerns have been addressed and if they continue to improve the mapping system I think this will be a very good mower.

Very good mower so far! Setup was a breeze. According to the map, I'm mowing 1 acre with hills and bumps, definitely not a golf course lawn, and it has no issues handling it. I'm impressed with how accurate the GPS is. Very good mower; highly recommend this mower.
