  • X450 is better than Luba 2
Style: Standard Set
I’ve had the Mammotion Luba 2 for a few years. Back yard is approx 5,000 sq ft. The Luba 2 had been struggling this Spring to mow the backyard on a single charge. And the power supply brick stopped working. So decided to buy the Navimow X450. This is 2x as big as the Luba 2, with a much wider cutting path, which I like. Also, the blades on the X450 are protected, sort of sandwiched between the mowing discs, so little to no grass gets caught up in where the blades attach to the discs. This was a big problem with the Luba 2 (the grass clippings would stop the blades from rotating). So the X450 provides a cleaner and more consistent cut quality. The X450’s turning pattern is different than the Luba 2, so the lawn striping isn’t as uniform (not a huge issue for me, but may be for others). I think the X450’s turning pattern is designed to be less stressful to the lawn. I’m sure there an YouTube videos that highlight how the X450 stripes the lawn. Only suggestion thus far to Segway is to have the X450 trace the perimeter when finished mowing to go back home. Right now, it takes the most direct line, thru the middle of the lawn. Set up was very easy, and nice not to need to use the separate RTK antenna and pole (although one is included). Well built, and battery is at 60% after a typical 1 hr mow job for our yard, so plenty of power remaining for a larger yard. So far, I’m a big fan and glad I made the switch. ... show more

  • Robot mower is the best
Style: Standard Set
This by far is the best of the best. Can do steep grades and does not tear up lawn

  • Pleasantly surprised — handles my yard with ease
Style: Standard Set
I have .97 acres of mowable area mapped and wasn't sure the Navimow X450 would be up for the job. It's exceeded my expectations. Setup was easy — no additional antenna required. I have 3 zones, with the largest taking around 30 minutes to map; the remaining zones went even faster. Highly recommend this mower. It's saved me a significant amount of time and let me focus on other projects instead of pushing a mower around every week. ... show more

  • Useless documentation
Style: Standard Set
No reliable instructions to do the simplest task. For three days, I tried to get the mower to simply leave the charging station, go to a mapped mowing area, mow, then return to the charging station. Could not do it. The instructions and terminology in the official Segway pdf are not consistent with those in the iPhone app. Neither the written instructions nor those in the app do not explain clearly how to do the simplest tasks, and when it appears that a task is explained simply, the software in the mower does not match those instructions. I'm sure that this would be a good mower for people who have weeks to figure it out by trial-and-error. But there do not seem to be any written instructions that correspond to the software in the mower itself and to the smartphone app. I guess I have no choice but to return it. ... show more

  • Excellent automated mower.
Style: Standard Set
Excellent product. This is a little tank. Intuitive app. Takes a little practice to learn how to steer it comfortably for mapping. But once you map a boundary, you always have that exact same boundary. Money well spent.

  • A lawn maintainer, not a mower.
Style: Standard Set
First use impressions: It is a lawn maintainer, not a lawn mower. So far, I'm really pleased with it. Mow your grass to the desired length with whatever your traditional mower was. Then the navimow will maintain that height really well! But if your grass is a couple of inches longer than you want it, this is not the correct tool. The packaging the mower shipped in is awesome! I was really impressed. Once I've had it for longer, I'll come back and update this review. ... show more

  • Navimower
Style: Standard Set
The mobility is excellent. But the finished look leaves some stragglers. Says it mows up to 4”. Don’t plan on it if you like a carpet like look. I’ve tried everything from 2.5 up to 3.25”. Seems best at 2.75. Changing blades is easy. I wish the blades were heavier. May try adding lead tape. I have a hilly lawn. Manages the steep hill very well. Looks better than the scalp look I was getting from the 60” zero turn. ... show more
