  • Very nice product overall, improving over time
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
The idea and value of this gadget is an A+ Execution so far I'd give it a B+ (updating to A after several weeks of constant use) Setup: B- I have a number of tall trees in and around my yard, though I still have areas that SHOULD be open enough to get a strong GPS signal. Initial setup was very tricky for it to find a signal - the provided antenna cable was too short so I had to buy an extender. Definitely buy one if you have a shady yard and will need to install your antenna in a different location than your base station. Once I got a signal driving it around the edge of the yard and marking off no go zones was a little tedious but not hard. The biggest annoyance was if you have a no go zone too close to the edge of the boundary it throws up an error saying you cant have a no go zone outside of the boundary. However you can pretty easily adjust your boundaries after you set it up the first time. Quality: A+ No issues seen so far, the build quality feels really solid, and the tires it comes with have more grip than I was expecting, and my lawn is looking really nice so far. Lots of compliments and curious questions from neighbors too. Wild life in the yard is unbothered too which is great. Software: A Really nice app and customization/management options. My only gripe so far was that when it wouldn't mow the lawn on the schedule I put it on, it didn't say it wouldn't go because of the rain sensor (still a little wet on top even though it wasn't raining) so I wasted a little time troubleshooting there. Otherwise it's really great. They also provide support, tutorials, and feedback options right in the app which I really appreciate, and it's easy to make boundary adjustments, schedule changes, and other customizations. Nice mowing report functionality as well. Performance: A It's a little early for me to tell here, so I may update this later but so far it's been running smoothly and is very quiet. I can't emphasize how much I appreciate the peace and quiet over having a standard mower going all the time. Lawn looks really nice so far as well, I'm only docking points because with all the little trees and a playground in my yard it takes a pretty long time to figure out the edges before it gets mowing steadily. That said I'm hoping it improves as it learns the yard. To be fair it hasn't gotten stuck on me once yet. Overall, I really like this as an auto mower option, it's a really nice competitor to the bigger players using GPS and RTK instead of a wire boundary. The bigger brands cost at least 2-3x what I paid for this. I also really love to see the amount of support this product is getting with frequent updates from the manufacturer - they really seem to be listening to product owners and evolving this product for the better. A year ago I would not have bought this based on reviews and lack of information but I can tell these guys are dedicated to making a good experience here and always improving it and I'm happy to join on that ride. ... show more

  • .74 acres ? not even close
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
easy to set up , does a decent job of cutting my thick grass on a hilly yard BUT it claims .74 acres of mowing power thats about 32,000 sq.ft. so far my Navimow has only been able to go 2200 sq. ft. before being out of battery and heading back to the charger...... pathetic .......takes most of 2 days to cut my 5200 sq.ft. tiny yard ... show more

  • Fun, but could be better
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
Pros: Capable: Was able to tackle higher grass than expected (given some extra time and charges) GPS: Handled partial sky view and plenty of trees blocking view of the sky better than expected. Cons: App support: There’s a lot of artificial limitations that the app enforces. Remote Control works but you have to be within a yard of the mower. Some errors require physically resetting the device needlessly. GPS weirdness: Would sometimes lose signal for 10-20 minutes and be uncontrollable in the meantime. Blades: Lost/chipped blades occurred during initial week. Doesn’t have a sensor to know if a blade is completely missing, which seems more useful than some of its other safety features. Mapping: You can only map areas counterclockwise. It will go out of bounds if it wants to, especially when using channels to go between zones, which led to it getting stuck. Low cutting height: Max cutting height way too low Terrain Handling: Not terrible, but would get stuck on varied terrain. ... show more

  • Great with a few caveats
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
I really like mine. It can basically do about 8000 sq feet a day where I live - 0.74 acres is a bit of an overestimate unless you are in slow growing mid summer, etc. I keep mine on a 3 day schedule (mows 1/3 lawn each day) and it manages ~ 0.5 acres okay, taking into account letting the dew on the grass dry and mowing from noonish to 8PM. It might take a couple days to catch up if it was raining steady for a few days. It will cut longer grass but it cuts better when its short. If you have a stick free yard that's better, twigs do get stuck in mine sometimes. I like the 4G connection - I can stop/start remotely if I want to and check status. If you can check underneath 1x a day for sticks/twigs etc its great. Mapping was super easy - I have had no trouble with it staying within its nearly exact boundaries. Like that the cut direction on the lawn rotates every time. I also have 2 wire based mowers for other parts of my yard and this looks better/ is lower maintenance than the wire based ones which both have had wire breaks that took a bit to troubleshoot, and were a pain to install. ... show more

  • Easy to set up, works well, lawn looks good
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
Not too difficult to set up. Follow the instructions carefully. My yard is mostly flat but not perfectly smooth. Set up three large zones and one small one, to separate out places where there is standing water when it rains hard, or in the Spring. I set up the boundaries pretty easily (I'm not much of a gamer, so it took a little practice). After a few weeks I decided to get the garage. That meant I had to move the GPS pole about 6" to sit outside the garage roof. Just that small movement made it lose its bearings, and I had to re-do all the boundaries. I then realized I didn't leave enough clearance on the edges, so I did them a third time. By now I'm pretty good at it! I like that it mows in straight lines, going in a different direction each time it mows. This means that it does a lot of three-point turns at the edges to line up for the next pass. This results in less-than-efficient movement, which uses more battery. No worries, though - two of my large zones can be done on one charge. For the biggest zone, it needs to go back when it gets low on battery, for a re-charge, then picks up where it left off. I did not set up automatic mowing schedules, as we get a lot of rainy days. It can easily do about a third of an acre on one charge. I'm loving not having to mow manually! It's quiet and leaves my lawn looking good. The app alerted me when the blades needed to be replaced. I ordered a batch of 36 for less than the price of a can of gas. This, too, was easy to do. ... show more

  • This is a beta product don’t buy
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
I purchased a Segway Navimow H3000N-VF Robot Lawn Mower Perimeter Wire Free looking forward to a simple installation. I unboxed the unit and found the RTF cable was 6 foot long and inadequate. I position the receiver, 4 foot from my house, which was the greatest distance I could since I wanted the mower close to the house. I found it. This did not work so I moved it 10 foot away from the house. After working with Segway’s tech-support, I moved it to the center of the yard which meant I had to move my base as well. I set up the mower. Did a perimeter walk ask for it to mow the lawn and it immediately ran into my deck stares and kept bouncing off of it. I didn’t noticed it called for firmware update so I attempted to update the firmware. It would not connect to Wi-Fi. My home tech-support said use my cellular Wi-Fi which I could not connect to. Then I noticed there was a 5G SIM card installed in the unit, providing Wi-Fi for three years for a charge. Tech-support did not know anything about this. Thinking the firmware upgrade would be a wise thing to do. I relocated the unit back closer to the house, thinking I could connect the Wi-Fi. I still could not connect to Wi-Fi. Tech-support said I needed to wait for someone more professional to help me. It’s in a box after two days, trying to get the unit to work I did get it to cut a 2 foot long path where it bounced against my patio stairs This is a beta product don’t buy I ended up purchasing a Luba mini for half the price the antenna wire was more than enough to reach the roof of my home. Had it set up within 15 minutes. My heart drops off in the back at a 60° angle, which has never been cut the Luba mini surprised me, and now I can keep up with the heavy vegetation on the hillside. Segway has been in touch with me offering me 15% off on the antenna wire which I don’t need and happily returned ... show more

  • Amazing mower!
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
My riding mower stopped mid summer. While looking at new riding mower, I started getting ads for robo mowers. After looking at a couple options, I hesitantly bought the Navimower. I will never be hesitant again! This thing is amazing. I started doing more things around the house as I was no longer wasting time mowing. Setup is easy. Be sure to give it a bit of room at the boundry. I did have a few mishaps but everything worked out well after I remapped and adjusted the boundary a bit. It is best to have it mow every other day or so. I do wish they had an every other day option but it is set to a 7 day week so you have to work around that. It's nice having a lawn that is always cut. There were a few times of rainy weather that let the grass get long. I was a bit worried but the Navimow handled it. It went a bit slower and battery didn't last as long, but it worked through it. It does have a bit of an issue on a steeper section of my yard, but it works it's way through it with some back and forth. This is definitely one of my best Amazon purchases. I can't wait for nicer weather to get it back to work. It is a bit hypnotic watching it do it's thing. ... show more

  • A Hair-Pulling Exercise in Frustration
Style: Mows up to 0.74 acre
This product is an exercise in frustration. The only reason I’ve given it 2 stars is because when all of the stars align, it will do what it claims to. It constantly loses GPS signal despite a pretty unobstructed of the sky. It rarely stays within the boundaries, so I’ve had to draw the boundaries several feet from the actual perimeter else it goes off into the garden. I’ve found it as much as 10-15 feet outside the perimeter. The battery is nowhere near what it claims to be. This wouldn’t matter, but when mowing a zone inaccessible from the unit’s home, it means carrying it back and forth a bunch of times. The wheels aren’t grippy enough and it absolutely wrecked part of my lawn trying to get itself out of trouble because of the wheels turning in place. Fundamentally it needs much better positioning, and maybe it’s my region or yard, but overall it’s been a bit of a disappointment. ... show more
