I have various Stihl electric tools (and plenty of their gas-powered tools too), but I was curious to try this 16" chainsaw out. Wow, it does not disappoint! No shortage of torque and power, and much lighter than my gas-powered saw!

updated review: cut ton of in tree 8-10" branches, worked like a laser. Tensioner is well thought out. Chain popped off once when pinched, user error. Easy to replace chain, w/ gloves on. I have Stihl MSA60 electric, two 455 Husky ranchers, plus have had other mid size Stihl saws, also.Makita & Remington gas pole saw. This saw's battery is same form/ fit as Makita LTX hand tools. Makita battery works in this saw, but it's batteries do not work in Makita tools (drill or driver, etc) . Too bad that'd be awesome, but alas, nope. It lights up in Makita tool, but won't turn (instant amp draw too high). The saw itself is well made, two batteries, two chains, even gloves were decent. For the price it will be a great light use top handle for in the tree work, ideal first saw, or 'seasoned' guy quickie tool. Ultra light. YMMV

Wow, I wasn't sure it would be up to the task but this thing has tackled a fallen pine tree with ease. I have a few gripes and notes, but otherwise I've been very satisfied. It's advertised as a pruning saw, but I've clearly been using it for more than that. It cut quickly through the 12in sections and takes about a minute to make it through the 18in sections now, granted I need to sharpen the chain as I'm waiting on chain files to arrive. The chain tension mechanism works fine, I had to continuously tighten the chain every 20 minutes for the first couple hours, now it has settled and I barely need to adjust it. I use used motor oil to fill it up, it does seem to go through oil FAST, and my saw started to leak oil out the bottom around its 3rd hour of use. It does seem to keep the chain well lubricated. The chargers feel slow, but these are very large battery packs. The batteries also will not charge while hot, and will need to cool down before the chargers start to put power back into them. Plan to use the saw, and charge batteries overnight. The batteries will get VERY hot before they run out of power if you are continuously using the saw. You should keep an eye on this and give them time to cool. I typically run the saw for about 30 minutes per battery at a time, that seems to take the batteries down to half charge but they are HOT. Thicker cuts obviously push the batteries harder than smaller cuts. Keep your chain sharp and oiled to help it out. I may attempt to wire in some sort of fan in the future to try to help cool the batteries during use. A Stihl will cut faster, run longer, and likely last longer, but this is lighter and SO MUCH QUIETER. If I was cutting large wood once a month, I'd have a Stihl. But I don't use a chainsaw enough to want to have to worry about clogging jets or winterizing, etc. This has been able to do everything I have asked it to and more.

Awesome chainsaw. I NEVER thought I would own a battery chainsaw. This thing has amazed me. I cut a downed oak tree 14" in diameter like butter. Then with the same battery I cut down a 40 foot tall white pine and trimmed all of the branches off and cut up sections. I almost finished the whole tree and had to change the battery for the last 3 cuts. And what's nice is you don't smell like 2 stroke oil after using LOL.

I first gave this 5 Stars because it worked so well. But on the 3rd time, it stopped working. No movement at all when the trigger is pulled. The chain does come off pretty often, but when it works, it cuts very well. I've been using the SEESII 16" Chainsaw for a week. We had many trees and limbs fall down from an ice storm. It cut easily and quickly through a 14" Red Cedar trunk -- no problem. The battery life seems adequate. Both batteries came 75% charged. I work cutting and stacking and moving cut wood for several hours without changing or recharging the battery. I haven't had a reason to cut with it a continually -- I cut a a few trunks or branches and get them moved out of the way -- and repeat. The saw seems sturdy. The chain came off the bar pretty quickly after first using it -- getting broken it I guess. I came off another time also. I found putting the chain back on a little fussy -- like I didn't have enough hands to hold it in place and tighten it. I found that it much easier to put the chain on the end of the bar and get it in the slots a few inches and put some tape around the bar and chain. Then continue to put the chain the bar slots and tape it in place again until it is fully on the bar. Then put the bar in place, tighten the nuts and twist the tightener knob and remove the tape. I returned it and asked for a replacement, hoping that my saw was a lemon.

Maybe a 5, but I've only used it 10 hrs. or so. The "manual" isn't much. I had to open the tensioner (easy open) as sprocket was off the track, easy fix. Two things important that I had to figure out (not in manual), Look in from the Side to line up the tension peg, Keep the blade slightly loose while tensioning then tighten blade nuts. Battery lasts at least an hour, probably longer. Saw comes with two chains, two batteries and two chargers. So far, this saw has worked really well. Cuts through some big stuff. It goes through oil fairly quickly. Save time. Recycle the blade sheath before you try to use it. For all the trouble SEESII went through with everything else (exception the manual) they could provide an actual blade sheath.
