ive had this for awhile now, and overall its pretty great. its best as a second filter, nit powerful enough to be the main one. It would work well for a small tank or pond. Easy to clean.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this fountain pump to have as a backup for a beautiful cascading rock fountain that I have in my backyard. It is a heavy pump, and appears very sturdy. The suction cups at the bottom are really great and keep the pump adhered well to the bottom of the fountain. The suction and water-return on this pump is strong and efficient - all while running quietly. The thing I did not like about this pump is the adjustable wheel that is supposed to allow you to dial your speed setting for water flow control seems broken (or very, very loose) so whatever setting you dial it to, it doesn't stay-set rendering this pump able to only work at one setting - high - or max power. I make my own bird bath fountains and tested out this pump in one of them knowing that it was probably too strong for it. Because I could not reduce the power of the water flow on this pump, it sprayed the water absolutely everywhere. It was way too strong. I think this will still work well as a pump for my cascading rock fountain in the future. I just wish the flow adjuster on the pump that I received wasn't broken. I got this for my larger waterfall fountain, It is just to powerful for it, I thought this could be overkill, so I will have to go to a less powerful pump, but this works great, really moves a good amount of water and with 10 feet of lift, you will find this is perfect for larger ponds and water features. ... show more
