This is the second Scosche phone holder I've purchased. My windshield needed to be replaced or I'd still be using the last one as it held up so well. When I needed a new holder, I wanted to stay with this same brand based on its performance and quality. The adjustable width range is excellent, even with a bulky case on my phone, and it holds securely. I, also, appreciate the ability to angle or tilt the phone as needed then lock it back into place. I was so skeptical. Let’s be honest, most “confirmed fits” are off by a mm or 3. This one fit exactly as listed. Checkout their site for additional locations and angles that can fit your car too. I appreciated the video instructions on installation too. Only complaint is the 4 little bitty, teeny tiny screws that attach the phone mount to the base, but it’s not enough to dock a point. Seems sturdy, well made. I skipped the mounting tape, but I definitely don’t see the mount itself going anywhere anytime soon. Edit May 2022: Issued the 2nd of the pack to a son on his birthday - and the slip joint connecting the flexible arm to the ball mount won't hold. No Glue. No Friction. I fixed this by drilling a small cross pin hole and pinning with a small screw My other son hasn't yet reported the glue leak - but it's just now starting to get warm to hot consistently. Original: These are our family's goto for car phone holders. Window mounts are the only thing workable for our cars as no dash is smooth enough, vent mounts block vents and often also poorly positioned. No vent mounts! No dash itself mount! Don't work! Pro: Sturdy construction . Very durable Gooseneck is quite stiff - so once adjusted you can boink your phone without it moving Gooesneck length is good (this is the longer) for those long sloping windshields to get the phone past the dash. Suction is good - doesn't come off unless you want it to. Quick release Con: Possible balance with ever taller phones. My Pixel 3 is about as tall as I'd put in one. I wish any/all of these would have some bottom bracket height adjustment so the side arms could be positioned higher but not depressing buttons. This is below my buttons - but puts a lot of the phone higher. The two pack was a great value so one for each son and I get mine back! ... show more

The adhesive platform makes no sense. Almost no dashboards are completely flat, as the platform is shaped. The cleaning wipes are a bit too strong chemically. The window suction works pretty well despite its wobbliness and the fact that its hard to adjust the flexible arm to stay straight. The mechanical phone securing squeezers and holder are ingenious. Absolutely the best part of the product. My one complaint is that the padding is incompatible with most phones that have power or volume buttons on the side. It's pretty much impossible to secure the phone flush straight in the mount. The air vent mount seems to work well as long as there are no pieces of the car vent sticking too far out. Overall not a terrible product but could be improved in a few ways. The mount release button and crank mechanism is simply perfect. ... show more

This is by far the best cellphone holder I've ever bought, owned and used. Can't beat the price while it works better than the expensive ones. The suction cup is pretty strong. It's very easy to place my phone in and out. If I decide to take it off completely, it won't leave any permanent damages or icky glue like other units. Best Bang for the buck!!!! ... show more

I had the old version of this model for 3 years and it was amazing. I lost one of the foam pads on it and the arm started to give out. After 3 years, I was fine with that. They changed the design and the new one sucks! I bought it April 22nd. The goose neck arm never bent correctly and was very loose. It didn't hold it's position in place. The previous version was very sturdy and never moved from position unless you moved it. The phone never sat correctly. The suction occasionally popped off the window on it's own. The previous version held and never moved. Today the back just broke off from of no where when I put my phone in the holder as I always do. Its absolutely useless on June 17th, so less than 2 months after I purchased it. I specifically went looking for the exact same model as my precious one because of how much I loved it. It was perfect for my needs. It is now to late for me to send this back to Amazon. This used to be a fantastic model. I was concerned when I got this new one to see the changes but assumed the company has made the changes for the better. I would have given the original model 5 stars.
