Heavy duty. YES. I mounted it in my Kawasaki Mule that gets used on trails, dirt roads, and some pretty rough terrain. I was curious to see if the magnetic hold would actually stand up to that kind of abuse, and after several rides it exceeded my expectations. Once my phone was attached, it stayed exactly where I put it The build quality feels excellent right out of the box. The mount itself is solid and well made, and the magnetic connection is much stronger than many of the other mounts I have used over the years. Even while bouncing over ruts, rocks, and washboard trails, my phone never shifted or worked its way loose. That alone made this mount worth its price to me One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to place the phone on the mount. The magnets guide it into position almost automatically, making it quick and convenient when hopping in and out of the vehicle. I used it for navigation while riding trails and never had to stop to readjust the phone or worry about it falling off. It remained stable no matter how rough the ride became The viewing angle stays where you set it, which is another big plus. Some mounts gradually droop or loosen over time, especially when exposed to vibration, but this one held firm throughout my testing. Between the strong magnetic hold and the sturdy mounting system, it inspired a lot of confidence when driving over uneven terrain For the money, I think this mount delivers excellent value. It is easy to install, built tough, and performed flawlessly in an offroad environment where weaker mounts would likely fail. After surviving some of the bumpiest trails my Kawasaki Mule could throw at it, I trust it a lot more than my suspension...and that is saying something

I ordered this phone mount for my new car and really want to use it but it comes with no instructions and in several pieces. The magnetic piece seems very strong and I like that so my phone doesn’t fall off. However there isn’t anyway for me to figure out what part goes where or how to attach it to my dash board. Very frustrating considering the price. If I can find the instructions I may be able to really use it but as of now it’s a very expensive paperweight.

This is an unbiased review of the Scosche car phone holder. Comes with a lot of items plus instruction booklet. First it states there is a way to install the mount holder with four small screws, however this is definitely not the way I am attaching it to my car. I am uncertain who starts putting screws into there dash, that seems a bit over the top to me. It also has the option to use the 3M sticky tape to attach it and also comes with one extra adhesive mount tape. This seemed like the best option for my car. Therefore I attached the dash mount to my car and gave it a full day to make sure it was going to stay put before I put my phone on it. Then I attached the magic mount to the dash which tightens to make a very secure hold. The magnetic power of this is outstanding! I do have a mag safe phone holder which also helps to make this magnetic bond hold my phone securely. My phone stays put even over rough railroad tracks! There are also extra adapter rings if I wanted to put my iPad on it but I have yet to do that. Overall super happy with this phone holder. I wish it had the capability of also charging my phone.

This magnetic car mount seems well made and has a strong enough hold for a phone, but I haven't had the opportunity to fully test it in everyday driving conditions yet. One thing to keep in mind is that I use a phone case and don't plan to use my phone without it, so your experience may vary depending on the type and thickness of your case. From my initial impressions, it appears to work well for standard smartphones and feels secure enough for that purpose. I'm less confident that it would be a great option for larger devices like tablets, simply because of the additional size and weight. The mount itself was easy to set up, and the magnetic connection seems strong. Overall, it looks promising for keeping a phone accessible while driving, but I'll need more time using it to fully evaluate its long-term performance.

This car phone mount holder appears to have an extra-strong magnet, which is exactly what we were looking for. It comes with an AMPS base for attaching to your dashboard, along with an adhesive dash adapter. Installation was quick and easy. The manufacturer claims it features an "extra-strong magnetic car mount that delivers up to 2.5 times the holding power of a standard phone holder." Only time will tell if it lives up to that claim, but so far we are very pleased with its performance. For now, it holds our phone securely and seems to be a great addition to our vehicle.
