I loved Scooter and Mia's story. She may have been broken when he rescued her, but he put her back together and helped her heal and be the woman she's meant to be. Ryan "Scooter" is a caring, patient, kind man that becomes Mia's hero when he rescues her. He will have to fight his own battles though when it comes to prioritizing his thoughts and keeping Mia in a box while he's on missions or he may no longer be a part of Cerberus MC. This will be a battle but he can overcome it if he can get his mind straightened out and figure out where he and Mia stand with each other. Mia doesn't realize how strong she is when she leaves the hospital, but Ryan will show her and he will be her strength until she realizes it. After a few weeks in the Cerberus MC compound, she decides to go back home to Louisiana and conquer her demons. While she's there, she finds her strength and her willpower to move on and live her life on her terms. These two were meant to be together, but they both had to find their voices and communicate their feelings to each other. Once they were able to open up to each other and voice their concerns and their desires, they both blossomed and found that perfect union. Mia was able to overcome a lot and Scooter helped in so many ways, mostly just being there and making sure she knew that he wouldn't let anything happen to her. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend this series along with this book to readers who love to read MC, military, or suspense books. This was a very sweet slow burn romance and a great edition to the Cerberus series. It had a great mixture of love, action, and angst. After her captivity, the now broken Mia clings to Scooter as her safe port in the storm after he pulled her out of hell. The once play boy now has a choice to save the beautiful woman who will need time, patience, and committed love or to pass her off to the brother she thought was dead. Will he choose to love her despite her faults and past or will it be just too much for the man notorious for his fly by night nature? ... show more

From the book before this one I knew I’d end up loving Scooter (Ryan). Before he was a playboy, he loved partying and women. But then him and his team rescue a group of trafficked women, including Mia and his life is changed for the better. Mia see’s Ryan as her savior and I love how good he is to her. The moment he picks her up and carries her out of the compound he rescues her from, they form an unspoken bond, a connection he can’t walk away from. He comforts her, he makes sure she’s taken care of, and he is so patient with her, incredibly patient actually! I can’t help but love Ryan throughout the whole book. Mia kind of irks me a little throughout the book, her decision making is definitely flawed. But what happened to her was tragic so it’s understandable. Most of the time when I read a book I find myself so frustrated with some of the characters, like why can’t you just open your mouth and talk!? That would solve like 75% of their problems alone! Lol. What a cool story. I could read this kind of love story over and over. It didn’t just dwell in the darkness of what happened or happens to some in this world, but told the story of survival and success of overcoming the past, of what a human being can be forced to go through. I for one, am in love with Scooter and his ability to have patience and still let his true love know how desirable and beautiful she is. That’s something everyone needs. Book 11⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ryan & Mia Sweet Mia ♥️ Whew I didn’t really want to read this one; i was planning on just skipping it. I was so sad from all that she endured and I didn’t want vivid details. I’m so glad that I didn’t, Scooter was seriously awesome patient, loving & protective.
