Description

Gothikana meets Dexter in this sinfully delicious dark romance about a film student who’s secretly tracking the murders of a serial killer—unaware he’s also her brooding professor. There’s a serial killer prowling the city, and no one has noticed… Except for me. I see the connections between his kills— The artistic references, The careful curation of the scene, The macabre motifs that turn violence into vivid works of art. When I recreate one of his murders for my film project at Cresswell University, I unknowingly present it to the very man who committed the crime. Professor Maddox Shaw. A world-renowned artist struggling to recapture his muse. A serial killer caught deep in the web of a dangerous secret society. A man who makes me come alive. Sleeping with your professor is bad enough. Sleeping with a serial killer is just asking for trouble. When trouble finds me, it’s not Maddox, but the powerful people pulling his strings. There’s no line they won’t cross to keep their secrets safe. And there’s no line Maddox won’t cross to keep me. After all, he’s good at killing people. Read more

  • A top read of 2026..😮💨
Format: Paperback
Everyone PLEASE STAND UP and clap for this absolute MASTERPIECE Avina St. Graves has blessed us with! I have never laughed, and squealed so much while simultaneously staying WHET. This book is complete perfection with AGE GAP (my favorite 😮💨), Professor x Student AND it GIVES ‘The Order’ Vibes (iykyk 👀) This book kept me on my toes and wanting more with every page! Between the sassy FMC giving it RIGHT back to her professor, to the snarky inner monologue, to the straight up statements that had me GIGGLING in my seat and kicking my feet (because why is a serial unaliver so funny🤭) this book is full of so much dark humor that pairs well with the plot and the absolute TENSION between the two characters. I have re-read this book THREE times in the last month because Maddox and Reyna are hot, angsty, the banter is some of the best banter I have ever read, and the secret society vibes mixed with the twist and turns Avina tosses in when you least expect it made this book a TOP READ of 2026! Truly, this book fed my murder mystery feels WHILE ALSO giving me all my favorite tropes, spice and the plot twists you wouldn’t see coming from a damn mile away. When I tell you I haven’t enjoyed a book that was so well balanced in so long, I mean that. Whatever you brewed and drank while writing this book, please I beg you, MORE 🤣 ... show more

  • Professor x Student - Serial Killer Edition
Format: Paperback
I loved this book! I first heard about it months ago on Avina’s social media and imagine my devastation when I realized it wasn’t released yet! I ordered it the day it released and am so glad I did! While there are darker themes in this book, he is a serial killer after all… I found it to be a lighter dark romance and one I’ve already recommended to a friend who isn’t fully into pitch black romance but enjoys the lighter ones! Reyna and Maddox are end game! I love them both, together and separate. Their banter was great and I loved see how they fed each others dark (and romantic) sides! ... show more

  • completely blew me away!
Format: Paperback
Pink Ink by Avina St. Graves completely blew me away. One thing I love about Avina is that she always brings something fresh and unexpected to her stories. As always, I went into this release excited and curious about what she would deliver, and this might honestly be some of her strongest work yet (and I’ve been here since her indie debut!) The creativity in this story is on another level. It’s layered, sharp, and intentional in a way that makes you stop and appreciate the craftsmanship behind it. The plot is plotting. The spice is absolutely spicing. But beyond that, Avina turns this story into art while writing about art, and somehow makes you fall in love with the beauty and darkness of creative obsession all at once. The tension, the dynamic, the twist… everything kept me completely enraptured from start to finish. Pink Ink is a seductive descent into artistic obsession, where forbidden desire stalks as closely as death, and deadly curiosity blurs the line between muse and monster. 5 stars! ... show more

  • phenomenal book for those with a dark side
Format: Kindle
Right off the bat, Avina did a phenomenal job with pulling us in. There were multiple times throughout the book where I felt like I was a puppet and Avina was the puppeteer, just playing with my hormones and emotions. She’s a phenomenal writer and while there was a ton of inner monologue, she did an amazing job of blending it in and using it to remind of the important moments. Maddox- an extremely complex character whose humor has you laughing at some messed up moments. He’s hot, he’s obsessive and while I did want to shake him a few times, he never disappoints. He can be my professor any day. Now miss muse- the star of the book. The FMC had me kicking my feet and giggling over her interactions with Maddox. Her personality was the perfect combination of damsel and independent badass. I loved the book and can’t wait to see what Avina feeds us next. ... show more

  • You drive me insane
Format: Paperback
I didn't know what to expect from this since I've never read anything from this author before. It has a mix of secret society, romance, obsession, he falls first and HARD, mystery, but definitely not the most darkest of dark romances I've read. It's dark in some instances but could've been darker. That being said I still think it was an amazing read and kept me hooked and there were even plot twists that you don't normally get with regular dark romances so that was nice ... show more

  • Pretty good~
Format: Kindle
Definitely a good read. Especially for the themes it brings (we all can admit to reading some pretty rough dark romances to itch our scratch wink wonk). This one is definitely a top notch read. I will say the pacing in the end did seem like a quick wrap up that seemed a bit rushed to me. Would have loved to see more family clashing. 1st versus 2nd in command sort of drama. However, it is still a good read as always from Miss Avina St. Graves~ ... show more

  • Changed everything I thought I knew
Format: Kindle
I went into this book SO excited. I had been waiting and waiting for it to come out, and when I realized I had to buy it myself, I thought, “Okay, fine. I’m excited enough to buy it.” 😂 Then I got to around chapter 6 and thought, Oh no… this book is basically a collection of every trope I don’t like. I was already texting my husband and my best friend saying, “Yeah, I don’t think I can do this one.” But something told me to keep going. And THANK GOD I did. Because somewhere along the way, this book completely won me over. The banter between the couple was absolutely everything. I laughed so many times, and there were moments where I genuinely felt like I was falling in love with them right alongside them. Their chemistry, their relationship, the romance—it all felt so incredibly natural and beautiful that everything else eventually became background noise. And that twist?! 👏🏼 I was SHOCKED. Truly shocked. I can’t remember the last time a book actually surprised me like that. There are a couple of things I wish I had gotten more answers to by the end, but honestly, that didn’t take away from how much I loved this story. This is officially going into my very small pile of books I wish I could read again for the first time. And Mr. Shaw? Sir. You have officially secured a spot in my all-time favorite fictional men. 😂❤️ What started as a book I was convinced I wouldn’t finish ended up being a book I absolutely did not want to put down. Sometimes you really do have to trust the process. ... show more
