This was an awesome book. There are a few memories that might cause some to be uncomfortable but it is such a terrific story. The haunted pasts come barreling through life and allow them to hope for a better future. This made my heart palpitate during the good and the bad scenes. This was a good book overall. Good chericters, well written, spicy. I didn't connect with the che cheriters very well but will definitely give other books by this author a try.

What a good beginning to a HOT series! Good action, sweet romance and scorching intimacy! Nolan, Laurel, and Jace struggled with past hurts and found love with each other. A good read.😊

We met the Shields Team in the last book which was one of my favorites. James found his life importance with them and was a huge help. One way they wanted to thank him was to try and find his missing sister, Laurel. Laurel disappeared many years ago and it has always effected James. He remembers braiding her hair. When the group makes a bust they are saddened not to find Laurel but they have a boost when someone there remembers her and tells them where she was sent. Having been mesmerized by a picture of Laurel and a picture of what they think she would look like Nolan goes to that location hoping to find more information. Laurel has seen on tv that part of the organization that kidnapped has been taken down and she worries about the bar where she worked and all those "friends" she had. She and Jase bought their way out of the club and have been trying to move on but keeping an eye behind them. When she wants to head to the club Jace lets her go, he does not want to be there again. But after she leaves he realizes he can not let her go alone. As Laurel heads into the bar she is grabbed from behind. But Jace is close enough he is able to fight off the large man with Laurel's help. Will Nolan find Laurel? Will she and Jace get to see her brother? Will Laurel realize how she feels about Jace is the same way he feels? Will they have room for one more? I was SO LUCKY to receive an early copy of this book, but as with all of these book I own a copy as well. This is the first of another new series in the Power Tools "family". We get to see so many of the other players in the three series. You do not have to read all those but I would highly recommend to read Pound for more backstory on this one. ... show more

Buy it now. What are you waiting for for? Excellent writing. Love all the well-developed characters. This was my 2nd time reading it. Couldn’t put it down. Who needs to sleep? Not me. Why can’t these stories ever happen to me?! :)
