Description

Sawyer Huntington, better known as Fender to his brothers, always knew he wanted more from life than his small town had to offer. He dreamt of fame and sold-out crowds screaming his name. The one person he loved more than music was Jo. She was his inspiration. His muse. Until an act of betrayal ripped them apart. Sawyer walked away and never looked back. His journey took him to New Orleans. Sawyer would lose himself in the music he played until it numbed the pain. The Big Easy had a way of working her magic on the broken, so he stayed. A gig playing at Twisted Throttle introduced Sawyer to the MC lifestyle. Kings of Retribution gave him something he’d been missing for a long time; brotherhood and purpose. Josephine Gates loved one man, her best friend, Sawyer Huntington. Fate had other plans for them. Sometimes the people we trust hurt us the most. Josephine tried to undo what had been done, but it was too late. Sawyer was gone, taking her heart with him. Moving on wasn’t easy, but Josephine was determined to make the best of the hand she was dealt. The threat of an outlaw MC trying to overrun New Orleans caused mayhem throughout the city. Amongst the chaos, Fender comes face to face with a ghost from his past—Jo. Old feelings resurfaced, along with the bitter sting of betrayal. The problem is, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Truths soon revealed themselves. One defining moment changed everything. Kings of Retribution are at war; now, there is more at stake than his club or himself. Blood will spill, and lives will be taken. Fender would give his last breath to protect his future. Read more

  • As expected!!! IT WAS AWESOME (spoilers)
I loved Fender's story. This book went straight to their story almost. Though I thought that Jo's father was gonna be the problem in their lives, which I kept expecting for him to kidnap her or her daughter, it turned out he was handled quickly. I had forgotten about the Reaper's Nomads, they came back into the story. I loved how the authors made Jo tough & had her fighting back the Nomads when she gets kidnapped by them. THEN, when she gets shot during the shoot-out, I'm thinking she got shot in the leg, but in nnnnnooooo, Fender finds out she was shot in the back!! I started to cry at this moment cause fender then started to do chest compressions on her & she yells at her to hold on for their daughter (ugly crying at this point). Then, Sawyer, their daughter walks up to her daddy & tells him that she misses her so much & he says he does to.... I hung my head & said NO NO SHE CAN'T BE DEAD!!!! This can't be how the story ends! This is not an HEA!! Jo is missing her daughter's sweet sixteen! Then, as they are singing happy birthday to her I am crying again cause Jo isn't there to celebrate with her. As Fender is giving her the keys to her birthday gift, GUESS WHO SAYS... SAWYER, PLEASE TELL ME YOU DIDN'T ... Yep you guessed it, JO!!!! The ending to this story was so wrong to trick me like this , but I absolutely loved it!! I can't say it enough I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! On to the next book! ... show more

  • Outstanding story!
You won't want to miss reading this book. It is my favorite book in the series. The authors delivered an action packed romance. There is plenty of steam and a whole lot of angst. I loved Fender, No and Sawyer. The characters were well fleshed out and I fell in love with them. I am going to miss this series. ... show more

  • Nice series
As I have read this series and enjoyed these characters, I was just a little numb reading Fender. It seems the same scenario, another MC attacks, someone is shot, stops breathing on the way to the hospital, epilogue, happy ending, the end. And don't forget the long lost family member; father, mother, kid, meeting, getting along, and so stinking happy. Angst is ok, not getting along is ok too. As a side note, Riggs and Luna are my favorites of this collection. This writing team does a wonderful job and the writing is tight. This book had a timeline fumble that I read numerous times and still couldn't come to terms with Young Sawyer having school on Sunday. ... show more

  • kind of mushy for an MC romance
There were some strong pieces and I really liked the premise, but I felt like there was so much lacking in this. There wasn’t enough anger or confrontation when they were reunited. After 15 years of resentment and anger, you’d think there would be a little more tension when they first talk again. Instead it was very much, “it’s all good, let’s make out.” Nah. Then there was the internal dialogues which just felt…elderly. I’ve seriously never heard 30-somethings say some of the things they said. It was odd. I did appreciate the conversation between mother and daughter about her dad, which felt like it was done really well. The action sequence could have been longer. Overall, an okay MC Romance but I’ve read better (and worse! LOL). ... show more

  • Great story
This is a great story filled with great characters. It has lots of emotions moments in it and this couple goes them all. But with love and family they come out on top better than ever.

  • loved
It was a good read, I wish Jo would of put up a bigger fight. I get they grew up together and fell in love but it seemed rushed when they got back together 15 years later. Like nothing ever happened. I get it was a miss understanding. Wasn’t a fan on how the action scene played out. Wish a little more time was spent there. But other then that it was a good read ... show more
